A question for the experts?

After reading through the thread, I found out the Amazon does price adjustments but how about free gifts?

I ordered my Canon S5 IS (GREAT DEAL!) but I've been checking back and I noticed that Amazon's now offering a free memory card with purchase.. Is it worth it to email Amazon about it? Has anyone ever had this kind of adjustment?

Does anyone know what amazon's policy is on christmas eve? I ordered my items Sunday morning and one of them still hasn't shipped. I even upgraded to standard (rather than super saver) with the thought that it would be here even ealier. One of items isn't even set to ship until tomorrow!!

Unfortunately, they will not adjust for special deals (such as free items) after your purchase. You could always buy the new item with the special deal and return the original (if you are still inthe time frame for a return.)

I received an email from amazon that the disney pictionary dvd game I ordered on the 10th was shipping out and it would be here 12/24 well I was just tracking my order it only shows a scan from today at 1.50pm and that the estimated arrival date is 12/20. The game has been shipped via DHL I am not to familiar (sp?) w/ the shipper are they pretty good about getting things on time/early.

My only experience w/ DHL was not a positive one (but the item wasn't for me so wasn't a huge deal). They left a note on our door that we were not home for delivery- when in fact both me & my hubby were home (he did run out to take DD to school, but that's all of ten mins.) And the time listed was well after he was home. We figured they didn't knock loudly.
Next day they are supposed to redeliver- we sign the slip & leave it on the door. No delivery???
That evening I track the package w/ the number on the slip (had to try 4 different numbers since it was hard to read) & it turns out my neighbor signed for it. The funny part is the package wasn't for either of us??? It was for my other neighbor.

I didn't think anything of it really till I saw a thread on Amazon about DHL & lots of people complaining.
I would keep tracking it to make sure it gets delivered to you & not a neighbor.

My experience with DHL has been excellent. Several of my packages said that I wouldnt receive them until Christmas Eve but I already have them!!! They have done a great job with delivery!!

Looks like the deals are done. For now.

I hope there are more to come, but I heard that we shouldn't count on after Christmas prices as good as the ones we saw. My favorite deal was the 80 piece Learning Resources Food Set for $36.xx, the Radio Flyer Retro Rocket for $21.xx, and the Lightning Spring Horse for $24.xx.

I did so well. The gift closet is stocked full. But, there are some deals that I passed up that I'm kicking myself over. Hopefully we'll see prices falling again next week.

i'm probably in the minority here, but I really hope they don't have good sales I have already bought enough!! I have most of the b-days done for all my daycare kids for next year. OT, dh was home yesterday when UPS came and he about fell over when he saw them bring up to large boxes. OOPS!

I hear ya! I received 5 boxes yesterday and I still have several yet to arrive I really don't need another thing! Most of the stuff I bought was at 70% off so I doubt that any of it will be going much lower but that doesn't mean I won't keepp checking

Anyone else completely annoyed with the SIZE of boxes that Amazon uses? I received one of those I-CY things (like an I-dog) and the box it was in was HUGE! I could have fit at least 4 board games in that box. Seems like such a waste!

I can't find it for $9.99-it's $28.99 on the link, and there isn't a choice to buy it from Amazon?? Help! This would be great to get my grandmother as her handheld vacuum just died last week!

I just emailed Amazon about an item that said it was going to ship (Supersaver free shipping) on 12/18 - and obviously had not. They emailed me back within the hour with a nice canned apology letter, letting me know that because the item was in progress, they couldn't change the shipping method. They did offer me a $5.00 credit to my account because I was such a good customer (oops, I must be spending too much with them this year!!) and humble apologies. About 10 minutes later I got another email saying it had shipped with FedEx. Whew. I've been very happy with Amazon this season. I feel like I've paid GREAT prices, requested and received $20 of price adjustments and now a $5 credit.
