Ok so I just came back yesterday from the most amazing trip i've had at Disneyland......soooooo much stuff happened over the weekend, but what happened at DLR was just amazing. I went down to L.A with a few friends for my friend's birthday. The whole weekend was spent at Six Flags and around the Anahiem/L.A area, On monday we finally got went to DLR. The first ride we went was the Astro Orbitor. This when our luck began....as we got off the ride, we were approached by a DCM and they grabbed one of us and asked us if we were interested in going to City Hall and seeing a prize that we may have won, of course we said yes, so then we went on to City Hall. When we got there, we watched a dvd showcasing the YOMD and what we won, which ended up bieng a free dinner with a limit of $85 each! We were all ecstatic over all of this and we became Honorary Citizens for the day. We got escourted to cut in in line for Space Mountain, and at the end of the ride, the DCM told us that since we were so energetic and grateful that we could all become Grand Marshals for the day!
We were sooooooo excited, not only because of that....but we were going to be participating for the parade for the night. What was even cooler was that the car we rode in was the debut for that car for the rest of the parade, annnnnnnnnd it was supposed to be the car that Eli Manning was going to ride in for his Super Bowl victory parade, but he didn't show up....We ended up eating at the Blue Bayou, the bill came up to $440.97, but of course we ate for free! After dinner we met up at the Mickey and Walt statue to meet the DCM's for the Parade, and met the Mayor of Main Street who was awesome and told us he never had a group as fun as we were in years!
there's so much stuff that happened, but I am too excited to type them all down, i'm so happy that all this happened on my friend's birthday, it was just an amazing experience....just thought i'd share it with you guys who were there on monday, I was a honorary grand marshal! what are the odds of that??
