I can't believe what a jerk Lake is! I mean, seriously! He's always yelling, blaming his wife, thinks he knows everything, seems to have an issue w/women. I can't stand him. Even DH said, after seeing this show, who would use him as a dentist. Hence the poll.

The Amazing race is a reality show. You can not base what kind of person he is by the few minutes of edited film you get to see on TV each week. And you certainly not determine what kind of dentist he is.

I think he is a major jerk. Of course the show edits things, but he has to make the comments in the first place for them to use them as material. While I’m sure his technical dental skills are probably just fine, I don’t think I could take his attitude, even for a few minutes every 6 months.

I didn't say he was a bad dentist....he could be the best in the country. I question who would go to him as a dentist cuz of the way he acts. Maybe some is edited, but I could just see him standing over someone yanking a tooth out saying 'dang nabbit, this sucker just won't come outta here'. Ok, so I'm overreacting w/that one, but seriously, he has issues, and I don't think I'd want to go see him. Just my opinion.

Aghghghg he makes me sick, I hate him. He treats his wife like and calls people names if they go ahead of them, then he didn't needed to yield the pinks, he was just a total jerk.
I was at him when they asked the old couple where to go and Barry said, "Can't tell You". Good for him.
He's just like the other jerk from another race. I told DH if you ever treat me like that, I'll kill you!

OT, but anyone notice the t-shirts the hippies were wearing. One said Bowling, the other said Moms. I took it as a nod to the Bowling Mom's from a couple seasons ago.

Yes, I would go to him as a dentist. He is obviously a perfectionist and has a huge ego. Those people make very good professionals and are very poor in relationships. Would I date him? No. Would I marry him? No. Would I go to him for my teeth? In a heartbeat. He's probably a great dentist. His ego couldn't stand otherwise. I'd have great teeth. But, personally, he's a jerk. Type A people usually are.

I agree with DisTeach. A guy like this would never make a mistake not even in his bedside manner. His ego couldn't take it.

I know that things are edited, but he had to say those words for them to even be edited in or out. I just don't think his Type A personality would mix well with me - I hate to go to the dentist anyway so there -
