Amazing Race, Family Edition. *Official DiscussionThread*

At the mat, the older Weaver girl (rebecca with the streaks in her hair) said, "we are the only ones trying to lead a Christian life...". Now, how does she know that?

They dissed the sisters at the race track when they were only trying to be nice about their mom being on a race track. Also, they threw food at another vehicle/team, they joked and made fun of a garbage truck as it went by and said things like, "...wonder if the Cleavers (Paolos) are in that truck..." Now how about that comment? Not so nice, huh?

I do not like this family, and I don't care if they are Christian or not. They say mean and ugly things about the other teams (more than the other teams).

If they win I will be disappointed.

I did not think it was too Christian like they way they acted when they were yieled. Making fun of all the other families and their pictures. I was embarassed.

We all know REAL christians just break out the marker and draw a moustache.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
(j/k--in referenc to what I think Romber did when they were yielded :rotfl2: )

Do you have sisters? I have five. It would be a disaster to go on TV with them. lol :rotfl:

I have 4 myself and even said to my DH last night we would never make it on that show...LOL

The weavers have to go go go. they are the most unchristian people I ever met. The sisters tried to comfort the girls at the race track but then were made fun of for it(they knew the weavers didnt like them already but did try to comfort the girls). I cant wait to see them lose lose lose.....

Couldn't have said it better. Go, Go Go Weavers off off off the show.

Nancy

And when the Weavers were at the yield and made a comment about chests, wondering about who of the sisters had b@@b jobs. They are both larger up top than almost all of the sisters. I was being a little rude last night and checking out sizes. :rotfl:

I am beginning to think there is something seriously wrong with them.

I judge equally when it comes to tart-wear. The Bransen girls are athletic and their attire is consistent with athetic wear. If they looked like tarts..well....I'd say so. :teeth:

My DH calls them the desperate housewives because he thinks they dress sleazy. I think they are tartish myself. Edited to add I mean the Gogliinksi girls or whatever their names are!

OMG I know I don't like them either and it ticks me off when they keep saying 'we're leading a Christian life' like who else might be and they wouldn't know?? And if they are, why are they so mean??? That's not the way I was raised...and it's a shame, I'll be disappointed if they win too......

Well teh youngest sister in the Godlewski family was smokin last night with teh 2 pigtails and the little blue shirt man that was nice and the Bransens those are a family of very nice looking young women. I honestly don't find anything wrong with how they were dressed at all. Now the Weavers maybe they need to look in a mirror a time or 2 because those shorts the sisters wear um ya they have no place on either of thier bodies maybe if they took teh 2 pairs and sewed them together they may become appropriate but damn they are not supposed to wear them. To take a line from the movie Hackers SPANDEX it's a privelaege not a right. I loved how the one sister was crying last night talking to Phil and saying we are the only christian ones out here and we are leading a christian life bla bla bla well I hope they watch this show closely to see just how unchristian they truly are.

For those of you here who seemed like you were disgusted by the Paolos, where is this planet you live on filled with nothing but love, butterflies, and rainbows?

The Paolos to me seemed like the most real family out of the whole bunch (along with the Linz siblings). They're just a rough, working class family from NY. They may not behave the way towards each toher that some of you are used to, but it is very obvious that they all do love and respect each other. Not all families have to be zombie stepford families. Whoever made the Roseanne comparison said it best.

Is that the "illegal to wear undwear over your underwear over your underwear over your underway over your pants in Panama" ladies?

Young girls or the older ladies?

I didn't think anyone but the weaver girls were wearing hot pants.

Aren't hotpants long though. I think some more appropriate terms would be Daisy Dukes, c@@tchie cutters, UNDERWEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:

I thought the boy on the mat saying "Welcome to Page, AZ" looked so uncomfortable last night. I felt sorry for him. Papa Paolo yelling "you Idiot" from the boat. Not to mention the Weaver girl crying, I thought he might just jump over board. Poor kid.

I thought Phil was doing his best to be nice to the Weaver's, but was trying. I think he sees it too.

I think so too--but when his reaction tops his from the post-accident Romber arrival...then I will know so.

(he was very visibily irritated with the smirk on their faces when they got on the mat. I think he is updated on the teams as they progress and knew about them passing the team in the accident).

Have you read the whole thread? I believe most people here have come around to the Paolos. Yes, they were awful at first, but they definitely improved. And you can tell that this is how they are IRL. They never once made excuses for their behavior. And they were very gracious when they were eliminated.

...and we're not making fun or putting down the Weavers...or wishing back luck for them....we're much too good for that ;)

I don't see the need to put down those that happen to dislike the Paolas. Do you want to bring yourself down to Paola level? I really don't want to see this thread get closed because of your nasty post. Understand? I feel sorry for you if you have to live in a family that even resembles them. I have known many a working class family and none have ever degraded their parents like that little punk did. None have ever told their kids they were going to knock them in the *** head. If they are the real family then give me a stepford family any day.

When did the mom say that? I must have missed it. I'd like to check the recording, if you can give me an approximate time.

Don't have the exact time. Perhaps Misslissa has it. She also commented on it but edited it because the word is against Dis standards even though she had it **** out. Edited to add that this wasn't just one time I heard her say it. She said it a couple weeks ago too. Seems to be her standard line!

Was it when they were bailing the boat?
