Amazing Race, Family Edition. *Official DiscussionThread*

I didn't like this round....a 2 hour delay with the spacing of the busses and a road block that only ONE team could do at a time.

I think the order everyone finished the road block is hte order they finished at the pit stop.

It was all faux excitement in the editing. :( (excitement of--oooh, maybe so and so will get ahead, oh no...so and so may fall behind).

I think this may be my first post on this thread...

What an AWFUL leg of the race...at least the last half. You pretty much knew the order way before the end. Bad leg, IMO. No one really had a fair chance.

YOu said it better than I did. Once they did the simulator--it was no longer a race. :(

I wasn't happy with this leg. I think the Aiello's weight was what hurt them in the mud truck task. The Gaghans with the kids in the back just flew over the course.

I could do without the Weavers. I think they're annoying.

Ohhhhh - I missed the previews for next week's episode. That's kind of cruel of the producers to make them go to a race track. Sheesh.

I think we replied at almost the same time. After the first team got the computer clue that said to go to the pit stop, I told DH that we already knew the order. Especially since no one really seemed to have problems finding where to go. I was really hoping they would redeem the leg by making it non-elim, but I figured it was too early for that. I really liked the team that was eliminated, too.

That was a horribly planned leg. Should have been a non-elimination. Bleh!!!!
I can't remember which kid, but they seemed so excited when they read the clue to "fly to" but when they heard South Carolina they whined. Hehe.

That was a stupid episode. First come first served doesn't require any skill.

In fairness they didn't show the task..so it may be an "easy" task--and all safety precautions necessary taken.

However with the rawness of the incident (at taping--I think it had been still the first year since it happened)...they should have been kinder.

Part of the challenges though are the fears and angst experienced. So I'm on the fence about it.

This could have been planned well before they knew who was coming on the amazing race.
