Colin-ugg... Looks like he freaks out next week too over building a wall or something. He is smacking the ground like a 4 year old. Oh-and yelling at Christie again.

I would not mind if any of the other teams win. I think the twins are so lucky to still be in the race but they pretty much stick to themselves. Can you believe they gave Colin and Christie their spare tire!!?? C/C would have come in last for sure if they did not do that.

Chip and Kim are nice but he really pulls the weight on that team. She has only done one roadblock. Maybe she will have to cut her hair!

When it was mentioned about the haircut next week I immediately thought "who is the 2 male person team who could do that?" Then it dawned on me---there is no 2 male person team left(!), which means at least one female may have to choose to cut or not! I could do it in a heartbeat. I have shoulder length hair and I do style it daily, but I'm not a freak about it. Short, long,...it'll grow back! I can't see the girls on the show being that way. Maybe the bowling moms......





Oh, and poor Christie! I really hope she sees the light after this show.

I too cannot believe that Christie apologized to Colin at the end of the show and said she should have supported him. HELLO!!! He was totally in the wrong and if he were my BF I would have given him the silent treatment until HE apologized. Although I never would have dated anyone like that. He is such a jerk!!!

Go Chip and Kim and Bowling moms! I'd love to see either of these teams win.

I remember seeing that hotel on some "Worlds Best" episode on Travel channel or something. very very cool! I immediately recognized it too.

Brandon/Kim. This whole "Baby" thing is just sickening. she's so stinkin' whiny.

Colin/Christie...like others have said, what a spineless jellyfish she is! she did NOTHING wrong...and she was trying to correct Colin when he was "telling his story" to the other teams (w/ embellishment) and he basically tells her to shut-up? Chip and Kim were so right when they said "the only team that will hurt Colin and Christie is Colin and Christie"

Next week should be interesting. Of course, every week has been interesting! But while it's challenging to go through the desert in a car, it's a whole different kind of challenge to find your way through a crowded foreign city. And Calcutta is the biggest city in India.

In previous seasons India has been a country that caused a few teams to really fall apart, even to give up. A guy with a short fuse like Colin is liable to blow his top.

My favorite moment last night?

Angry Colin to Police Chief: "Do you speak English?"
Police Chief: "Yes I do. Do you speak Swahili?"

Oooh, what a burn!

What I really wish they'd do is give a penalty to any team who totally disrespects the local people like Colin was doing with that cab driver and the police.

That hotel is the worlds only 7 star. The Travel Channel has done an hour special about it. It is so beautiful and luxurious!!

But, oh man, I thought for sure they were going to have them bungy jump off the heliport or something!! How DISAPOINTING to have them come back down in a plain old elevator!!!

Why didn't they have a ROADBLOCK last night? I thought they had one in every show.

Yeah, it's one thing when somebody cheats you, like last week's bus driver. But all this guy wanted was the price they agreed on. No wonder he was PO'd. I hope there's some carryover bad karma over it.

I wondered about the lack of roadblock too. It seemed that Hotel was the perfect spot for one. Do you think its possible, no one was able to do it so they left it out????

also, I love Phils Diary on CBS.com and it would not play for me today for episode 8. Did anyone see it and if you did can you tell me what he said. Last week he spoke about Nikki disrespecting locals, I would love to hear what he said about Colin!!

I think they didn't have time to show it, if they did one.
I looked at my watch right after Colin THREW the money at the Police (ugly, ugly, ugly...........he should have been put in jail then!) and it was already 10:25pm.

I kind of felt sorry for Christie.......remember she is on national TV. She shouldn't have apologised, but I think it was best for her to back down........or so the editing showed

It looked like Colin was just harping and harping on Christie about how SHE made the situation so bad...I think she apologized just to shut him up! Notice that the subject was dropped after she apologized. I hope she dumps him on national TV when they get eliminated! Didn't somebody do that to their partner a couple of years ago? An abusive girl dumped her partner because he couldn't do anything right?

Phil's Diaries were very interesting-thanks! He really seemed to like Charla and Mirna. He said Colin was the most competitive person they have ever had on the AR and he is only 24! He looks about 38 to me-he better calm down because he is aging himself. Phil said he needs to calm down towards the locals. He also said he thought the bowling mom's were very competitive and was surprised when they gave the father/daughter team bad information.

I agree w/ all that's been said about the C/C taxi fiasco, but he did something else that annoyed me too (surprise surprise)....
when they got to the hotel to get the clue he's yelling at her to hurry up and clapping his hands like he's summoning a dog....maybe I read more into it after seeing the angry mess w/ the cops but that really irked me ...... hope how he treats her starts to irk her as well !

We just watched it, Colin is such a complete and total loser and Christie's a doormat, hopefully when she watches his behavior on the show she'll wake up and dump his sorry ***.

My DH said the same thing about the hand-clapping! We have disliked Colin since episode one. In our house he is referred to as the serial killer because he comes across as such a psycho. We always say things about how we wouldn't want to look in his freezer!

Jettmom you took the thoughts right out of my head. He has made every other "ugly" american on the show look like the greatest ambassaors from the US. What a downright jerk. They have all the classic signs on a couple that will if not already have domestic violence.

You might be thinking of Lenny and Karyn from Amazing Race 1. Poor, poor Lenny, he seemed like a sweetie. She just kept screaming at him and drawing out his name while she screamed Lllleeennnyyy! When they were eliminated she told Phil their relationship was not going to work out.
