Okay, my wife was very upset yesterday when the screen on the Kindle I got her for Christmas got huge lines in it, and the bottom half stopped working.
So at 4 pm yesterday (Friday), I called the toll free Amazon Kindle number. I waited less than a minute on hold. The nice lady said no problem, it's under warranty, we'll overnight you a new Kindle. You just have to return the broken Kindle. 11 am this morning (Saturday), the new Kindle arrived at the front door. Yup 19 hours later, in our hands.
Now, having dealt with Apple for repairs on my daughter's lap top, and my kids i-Pods........waiting days for a Genius Bar appointment, then having them take 10 days to have something repaired, I think Apple could learn a big lesson about customer service from Amazon.
