Amazing Alaska Adventure: May 28, 2012!!!!!!

Hello everyone! I am so happy to have found this group! We are so excited about our cruise to Alaska we can hardly stand it!! This will be our first Disney cruise, but I am sure will not be our last. We went to Disney World this past May, and every since my daughter has been saying she needs to "go see Mickey". My daughter (3) and I (Beth) are from Tupelo, MS, and we will be traveling with my sister-in-law (Amy) who is from Birmingham, AL. Amy and I both are Disney addicts - everything Disney. I love the idea of the FE, but could not get the link to work on one of the previous postings. I added myself to the FB page, so hopefully my questions will be answered there. I am looking forward to learning a lot about the cruise from everyone and meeting everyone!

I'm Maryjo and my DH is Shawn. We have 3 little girls - Kate (will be 4 when we cruise), Sophie (3 when we cruise) and Charly (1). This is our first big trip with the kids and DH doesn't like to travel (boo on him!), so though I'm excited, I'm a little nervous, too, as I want to make this as fun and as EASY as possible so that DH will want to go again!
We will also be travelling with my in-laws...this cruise was a gift from them (Merry Christmas us!!!) This will actually be their 2nd Disney cruse, as they will be doing the Mexican Riviera in April with DH's sister's family.
We live in the Seattle area - anyone else?
Looking forward to the next few months....I'm more a Facebook gal, so I'll probably do most of my posting/asking questions on there, but either way, looking forward to learning all the tips/tricks!

If you haven't signed up yet you should do the Fish Extenders especially with the little ones. That has been the highlight of my sons cruises and they are teenagers

Yep...my inlaws are a-o-k! I am looking forward to this cruise with my kids, but can't help but think that it's pretty awesome you and your DH get to go by yourselves for some alone time! I'm sure your kids are jealous, and I'm sure by the end of the week, you'll be missing them like crazy, but man - enjoy every second of it!
I've driven through MT a few times - it's gorgeous! Beautiful drive and by that time of year, hopefully you won't hit any difficult weather (though, living in MT, I'm sure you're prepared for anything!)
Just signed up for the FE exchange! Now am looking around for ideas of what to put in them....and shopping for our FE! You're right - my kids will love it!

We have been on 2 cruises(this will be number 3) and the character breakfast is only in Parrot Cay and I believe they have them 3 different mornings. It just depends on the day you have breakfast scheduled in there. You will get tickets in your room that states the date and time

On our last 2 cruises formal night was on the 2nd night and semi-formal was on day 6. From what I hear it is the same on the Alaskan cruise

For pirates night I have been told they still have the music on top deck, the food on the top deck and the characters but not allowed to have the fireworks which is a bummer.

I don't know on the show schedule as I have never been on the Wonder and I am not sure what the shows are.

Hi! My husband and I going on the cruise along with my best friend and her fiance. We are so excited. We went on our first cruise with Disney and on the Dream to the bahamas. Best time we have ever had. Disney treats you like king and queens. It was amazing!! We saw little things hanging on people's door and such, but had no idea what it meant. My friend just told me about the fish extender thing and it sounds really fun. Anyway, just thought I would throw out there how much fun our last disney cruise was. Also, we became DVC members on our Disney cruise in November. If you don't know what that is, they will have info on the ship and an actual meeting sometime on the cruise. I suggest anyone who is not a member already, really look into it. It's a good deal!!!

Hi!! Just booked my 5th cruise yesterday for the 5/28 Alaska Cruise! I can't wait and am overwhlmed with trying to decide on shore excursions! There are a lot of great sounding excursions at each port and I just can't decide!

Anyhow I would like to join the FE group if possible. I participated a couple cruises ago and missed out last time, so I definitely want to do it again this year! We have 6 people going, 5 adults and my 3 year old niece who adores cruising DCL!
