Amazed at Misinformation!

It never ceases to amaze me how obnoxious some threads get on this board. people are so condescending here sometimes.

Okay, I will readily admit I don't know every single thing there is to know about everything Disney---but I'm working on it!

I'll even sometimes post with the caveat, that I think this is how it is. This was our experience. I've heard that... I think I read somewhere... Please correct me if I'm wrong, but...

But I'm AMAZED at how much I read, especially on Facebook groups, from people who are stating things as absolute fact that are blatantly wrong! I feel sorry for people who haven't done their research and are using these sites and groups to make plans on.

Over the past several weeks, some of the things I've heard....

Chef Mickey's is a 2-credit meal.
None of the Value Resorts have refrigerators in them.
There are buses that run from DTD to each of the parks.
An FP guarantees you'll never wait more than 15 minutes.
The fourth FP program has already started and you can get more than 3 now.
Resort guests can use any of the pools.
You can make ADRs for quick service meals too.

And this isn't even the bits and pieces you overhear in the parks, on the buses, etc. This is from people giving advice on boards where people are looking for information to plan their trips!

What things have you read or heard?

Always remember. It's only guaranteed to be accurate if you heard it from a bus driver.

A co-worker of mine planned a trip to DisneyLAND in Florida. I corrected her a few times, but she called it that all the time until they left town. Unfortunately, when she got back she was still talking about their trip to Disneyland in Florida.....

Oh yes, you are right. I always think of it as a quick service location.

As I said, I did not get to use it because by the time we had used our FPs for the day, everything was gone. Considering this guy is one of the youth group coordinators, and his job depends on giving correct information out, yes, I believe him. If you don't want to believe a first hand report, knock yourself out. I'm simply saying that yes, the 4th FP is available; unfortunately it's not completely viable yet, unless you use your FP early in the morning. The way our touring plan worked out, we didn't. But you know what? When I go back down in 2 weeks, I'll do it, and take pictures, just so you have "proof".

So the official word, from the official Disney website is that this will be starting this coming Monday, April 28th. So it would appear that CMs can give out wrong information, no matter what they're wearing!

I'm sure starting on Monday, we'll be seeing a TON of reports here on the DIS about how this is working now that it's live---"proof"!

Overheard at the podium outside Cinderella's Royal Table while my husband and I were waiting for our dinner reservation:

"Someone told me I could use my quick service credits here."

(This was several years ago before she could have been confused by Be Our Guest and its quick service lunch.)

I recently overheard a guest ask a CM at HS where the Titanic ride was. Got a good chuckle out of that one. The CM was so patient with her, I was so impressed! They must get questions like that all day long.

I was told that when you check into the hotel "make sure you get the card that gives you free food". Also it is unlimited and never expires! I tried to correct her and all I got is "Well mines did!"
