It's the American Music Awards, if some of you are wondering...

Thoughts:

Taylor Swift; love that girl, but she defiently is winning things that are just not up to her standard yet; for example, entertainer of the year, that could have easily gone to m. jackson :/

Adam Lambert; what a performance is all I can say!

J. Lo; aww, she fell, sorry. but her song was a big fail.

Jay-Z & Alicia Keys; best performance of the night!!

Lady Gaga; weird as usual, but not bad. so surprised she didnt win ANYTHING.

My thoughts..?

I love Taylor Swift. She is gorgeous. But she can not sing. She can't sing well when she's live.

She's winning to much. Country female artist of the year? I was pissed. Reba should have got that.

Taylor is just being to over-rated now. People are going to get sick of her.

Her winning artist of the year.. I didn't watched that part, the only person I know she was up against was MJ. Rest in peace, but he didn't 'entertain' this past year. As far as I know of. His tour hadn't began yet, and I don't remember him putting any songs out either. So in my mind he shouldn't have even been nominated as entainer of the year. Unless his death was suppose to be entertaining of someting ?

Uhmm.. I wish I could get back my 5 minutes wasted on Lady Gaga. Her songs are okay.. but she's more of a performer, and not even a very good one. My dad said she acts like Madonna did when she was younger. Lady Gaga's just creepy..........

I couldn't even understand any words in J.Lo's song ? I had to look it up just to know she was talking about shoes or whatever.

Alicia Keys could've been the only one singing on the stage and it would've been even more amazing than with Jay-Z. I'm not a big Jay Z fan, but I love love love Alicia.

Reba.. was gorgeous as ever! Love her. I'm going to ger concert in March! Can't wait!!

Kate Hudson came VERY close to having herself a nip slip. I was like shaking the whole time she was up there presenting whatever it was.. hoping her shirt didn't move even a centimeter..

I missed the first hour but my favorite preformance was by far Green Day! They did awesome.

Didn't like Rihanna or JLo. I still like Lady Gaga's songs, I don't care for her preformances.

Okay, so tbh I don't care for Michael Jackson or his music. Never have, so I was kind of miffed when he was nominated for all these things, just because he died (If I'm wrong, correct me, because I do believe he hasn't made any new music). With that, I still like Taylor Swift, but she's just coming out with things that others have had to work their whole lives to get. I think she's a great artist, but not quite up to those big name awards yet.

All I cared about was Lady Gaga and Adam.

CLEARLY they both WIN at life.
I loved... everything.. so MUCH. Im not sure which version you guys saw. 'Cause in mine Adam totally made out with his male keyboardist, and it made my entire life better.

He did it for shock value, and MAN did it work. I love him.

Gaga was epic as per usual. She can sing better than the freakin' track. She just proved to me why I am waiting 10 hours for her this saturday.

Also. The sound people SUCKED. Most people sounded terrible.. D:

From what I've been watching from youtube, all the performances sucked. I really disliked what Adam did and what the hell to Lady Gag Gag or whatever her name is, was she wearing?? Seriously, yuck. I don't like any of the music that was played Live from the AMA's, in my opinion, it was all terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. To say the very least, it was all very disgusting. I can't believe people love watching/listening to that kind of entertainment, shall I say? If you really love that kind of entertainment, then more power to ya. It's just not for me at all.

I may get some comments saying, "Oh, I thought you liked Adam Lambert!", truth be told, I really don't like where he's taking his music and from an interview I watched he had said something along the lines of, "This album won't have everything that everybody likes, and I plan on doing that for every album I make. I'm going to go my own way on things.", It was something like that, not exactly, and I'm sorry but I don't remember what the name of the interview was or where I saw it at, but what Adam said in that interview was a turnoff, his music for me is a turnoff, in my opinion. What ever happened to, "what your fans want to see from you", not "I'm going to go my own way on things", huh? And for the record, not everybody loves this so called genre, "Glam Rock". No, not even the people who are in the gay community do, sorry. I just don't see how he's going to keep making money the way he's going about things with his music career and all. It's his life, I don't care, but I do not like him anymore, even though, I did love him when he was on American Idol.. but now, not anymore. It was such a turnoff to me.

Think what you want, say whatever you want about my comments, I really don't care.

I'm happy for Taylor Swift, and I love her, but I think even she knows she doesn't deserve some of the awards she's getting!!

As for the performances, I'm going to have an unpopular opinions about this I know, I know...but I didn't like Lady Gaga's performance, it did absolutely nothing for me. She's an AMAZING singer don't get me wrong that girl can sing. But the performance itself was just...bleh.
I find that in a lot of performances I've seen by her there are always elements of the same thing. Oooh weird outfit! Woah strange choreography! Yikes what's on her head?! Aaah she took off her headpiece to reveal her face! OMG DANGER ELEMENT SHOCK VALUE! At the VMAs she had that whole blood thing, this time it was the smashing the glass and fire on the piano. I just don't find that stuff shocking or different or amazing in any way.

Adam Lamberts performance......again, not impressed. And it has nothing to do with me being prudish or conservative and I'm sure you all know I love the gays! I don't care if I see a dude kissing another dude or anything to that effect. I just thought the over sexualization of the song made him look like he was.....sort of trying too hard (-hides from Jamie-). He didn't sound great, and that 10 second Aretha Franklin/CHristina Agueliera scream-singing was just.... not good imho. Not entirely sure why he chose to go that route...but I guess it got people (besides Jamie ) talking about him. I just think he could've done much better.

This stuffs all my OPINION and I know that not everyone (mostly no one lol) thinks the same way.

I am sickened by these showy, oversexualized awards shows.

And while I have a terrible taste in music, I can tell you that those performances sucked.

Adam Lambert just wanted people to talk about him, and young teens to have to turn the channel, and the media to praise him for shocking people.

And Lady Gaga was always wierd. I actually like 1 or 2 of her songs, but she and her performances creep me out.

They cancelled Adams appearance on GMA tomorrow, and 3 minutes later, the early show picked him up. I know he's gonna show up, sing his second single, and charm the pants off of everyone

i can understand the flailing over adams performance, but gagas? I thought it was better than the track. Sure, she didn't do anything crazy, as per usual, but I thought it was awesome, and her Speechless almost made me cry. She looked so sad for the rest of the night after the performance

Muskrat - I don't think artists should make what their fans want, that usually fails. I think artists should make the music they want to make? It makes them individual. The album isn't all glam rock? Its a mix of ballads, dance, techno and rock songs? Lady gaga wrote him an amazing track called fever and Muse wrote him a queen-esque song called Soaked.

I'm glad more people know who my Adam is now ^_^

I thought it was a weird show in general. Don't understand why MJ (bless his soul) was nominated for entertainer of the year. When was the last time he actually put out new music? Yes, he had the new "This Is It" song that was released after his death. One song does not make you qualified for entertainer of the year. Especially since he wasn't really active for the past several years.

Lady Gaga wasn't too weird. Obviously has a good voice and can sing live but she's just too weird for me to take her seriously.

JLO was terrible. That song is terrible. I used to really like her but she's 40 years old now, it's time to stop acting like some hip-hop guy's sleezy girl.

Adam's performance was flat out bizarre. I don't care if people love him. The whips and chains were OUT THERE and did not belong on that show. And they saved it for last, like it was the best thing ever!!! The ending was BAD! That was not singing it was a SCREAM!

Adam needs to realize that he has young fans. Not just fans that want to see him makeout with his band member and stick someones face in his crotch.

He's just creepy and I kinda think he's really doing it for all the attention. Even if it's all bad things people are saying about him. Thats not the kind of person I'd want to be interested in listening too or someone I'd look up to as a talented artist.

You don't have to sing what you think people would like, but you should have them in mind. They are the ones thats earning you money and making you more popular.
