Amanda's Menu Planning Spectacular!

It's Friday!! :jumping3: :cool1: :jumping3:

I hope you got a good night's sleep, Amanda. A long hot bath sounds like just the ticket to ease you into slumber-land.

Hopefully the weekend will go well and you'll have fun in spite of the busyness. Pamper yourself as much as you can, OK?

I'm sending  and :sunny: for your Friday, princess: Amanda!
princess: Doe-Doe

:sunny: and  for you, Amanda. It sounds like you've been having quite the busy time. I imagine you sitting with your scrapbooking on Memorial Day weekend and I have to smile. . .the picture is so peaceful and healing. Time for ourselves is so important. It's a shame that often it just gets lost. I'm thinking that Memorial Day weekend will be my weekend to get out my cross-stitch. . .you've inspired me.:flower3:

Take care, honey--
Erin

Thanks for stopping by everyone! I actually didn't get much scrapbooking done last night. I sat down to get started and realized I wasn't inspired enough and was way to tired to get involved in a project. So I just did the hot bath and a good book. It was very relaxing, after the bath I lounged around in my Grand Floridian robe until bed time.

I'm working on 2 books at the moment The Hobbit and Harry Potter, Prisoner of Azkaban . I need to finish both of these before I start the book that I bought over the weekend Angels and Demons by Dan Brown - the same writer that wrote "The Da Vinci Code."

I woke up a little earlier today then usual due to getting lots of sleep last night. So I was able to make breakfast before I left the house!

B: 1 fried egg and cheese
L: Either Salami and Cheese or Leftover Chicken w/Broccoli and Cheese
D: ??? After work I have to go and get measured for my dress alterations for the wedding next weekend so I may get something on the run on my way home. Or I may just make a cheeseburger once I get home.

There is so much to do this weekend! We have to pay the sales tax on the new car :( , have our sprinkler system turned on, go grocery shopping, pay the bills, and clean the house. Hopefully I'll be able to get most of it done.

~Amanda

Hi Amanda,

I just started Angels and Demons last night. I like it so far. So are you a Harry Potter fan, rereading before the movie, or is this your 1st time through? I love Harry. I just plain love reading.

I'm glad you got a good night's sleep. You were long overdue. Have fun at the fitting tonight.

Take care of youself today,
Beth

Amanda, I loved both the Hobbit (and the Lord of the Rings trilogy) and all the Harry Potter books! Lately, I've just finished How Stella Got Her Groove Back and The Deep End of the Ocean and I've started The Pilot's Wife. Angels & Demons is definitely on my list to read - hope you like it! ::yes::

I hope your fitting goes well and you breeze through all your weekend chores! :sunny:

I fell victim to the evil munchie monster this afternoon. That bag of M&M's had my name all over it. Sum up for today:

B: 1 egg, 1 slice of cheese (2 carbs)
L: Hardee's low carb burger (3 carbs)
S: Diet Soda (0 carbs) Bag of M&M's, Mini twix bar
D: 4 Heroin wings strips (1 carb each).

I'm probably still under 55 carbs today even with my snacking but I'm not proud of falling to temptation. DH and I didn't get our walk in today because of me getting home so late from my dress fitting. Our hope is to get it in tomorrow or on Sunday.

Night!

~Amanda

Good Morning Everyone! We are getting ready for a very busy day! I'm trying to spend the morning relaxing as much as possible by reading books and trying not to feel overwhelmed by the amount of stuff that needs to be done.

B: Egg, Cheese, Coffee
L: ??? If I go grocery shopping the possibilities are endless if I don't then it looks like it will be grilled fish and greenbeans
D: This will be on the run. Possibly Subway or Hardees

Hello Amanda! I'm just stopping by to say Hello!:wave2:
I hope you had a nice weekend and got a chance to relax a little. I know this coming one will be crazy because of the wedding!
Sending you :wizard: for a great week with lots of opportunities for walking! :teeth:
TTFN-
Sharon :sunny:

I have a :Pinkbounc in my step today and the :sunny: is shining. Want to know why? Take a look below at my countdowns! DH and I were "talked into" a Disney Cruise with our neighbors next year! We are so excited and it just feels so far away. But since neither one of us has ever cruised before this year gives me lots and lots of time for planning and reading up on Crusing. :teeth:

Okay today I am going to Perservere! I am not going to let the EMM get a hold of me! I am going to fight back, I am going to be cheat free, I am going to WIN! The scale is not my friend at the moment and I want to be down the 2 to 3 lbs I've gained by the end of the week. I can do it - I know I can. I'm going to check into the DIS more, I'm going to plan my meals, I'm going to be trying on my dinner rehersal dress every night, and I am going to get in my walk runs no matter how tired I am!

Ya hear that world - I'M BACK!

B: 3 egg omelet with ham, greenpeppers, and cheese
L: Either a salad from subway or a wrap from subway
D: This is currently up in the air since DH forgot to leave me the Debt card so I could go grocery shopping. But there are lots of low carb choices at home.

I may also switch my lunch and dinner plans with each other.

I'm off to enjoy the day, catch up on journals, and learn about Disney Cruises.

~Amanda

Update:

B; - done
L: cheeseburger (no bun) w/ 3/4 cup of greenbeans
Vitamins - taken
Water - 6 cups down.

Whoo hooo! I am doing good!::yes::

~Amanda

You go, girlfriend!! There's nothing like a cruise for motivation!!

I can feel those positive vibes! Keep it up, Amanda!!

 and :sunny:

Hi Amanda!

I'm checking up on you and glad to here that you are feeling sunny and bright these days. I am so excited for you about the cruise! I've never cruised before and don't think I can convince DH to do so unless at least one other couple goes with us. I am however going to try to talk him into a cruise next year for our anniversary. We'll see. Happy planning girlie and I know you'll get your run/walk in today, right? ::yes::

Good Morning Everyone! Yesterday was a success and the scale showed it! 1.5 lbs gone! Now I know alot of that was water but it feels so good to have flushed the system! :) I went and got Mystic Tanned last night so I am feeling a lot better about myself and looking forward to another cheat free day today.

DH and I trained for the marathon again last night. We walk 8 minutes and run 2 minutes and repeat until we've been exercising 30 minutes. Those 2 minutes are tough but we are really enjoying ourselves as well. Next week we are definately going to have to find a track to run in because we are running out of space in our subdivision. After we got back though I was STARVING! My dinner was kinda small so I munched on Honey Roasted Peanuts and had a small bowl of low carb ice cream.

Todays plan:

B: 1/2 cup of Fresh Strawberries (YUMMY!)
L: Tuna Salad and Celery
D: ?? Not sure yet - my Mom is coming over for dinner and I just don't know what to make. I might make some Italian Chicken with greenbeans as a side dish. I need to pick up some potatoes for Brian since he is not a veggie eater and I didn't buy and lipton noodles and sauce or rice for him for side dishes.

No exercise today! We have a meeting tonight for our business so it will be a late evening out as well.

~Amanda

10:16a.m. - note to self 1/2 cup of starwberries is not enough food in the morning. Need to bring some cheese next time to eat as well.

~Amanda

Hey Amanda! Good for you to shed that 1.5 pounds!!:Pinkbounc Even if it is water weight, it does make you feel good to get rid of it!!:smooth:
Sounds like you are having a really good week! I agree with you, the tan does make you look a lot nicer and thus you feel better. I really need to look into it around me. I used to go to the tanning booth to get a little bit of a base tan for the summer, but I have stopped doing that. The mist tan sounds like a much safer alternative. ::yes::
I hope you have a great day and stay cheat free!!

so far so good today - although I'm drinking more diet coke and less water - I'll have to adjust when I get home.

B: half cup strawberries (I think 9 carbs)
S: Diet Coke
L: Double Steak Burger with Bacon and Diet Coke (kept the bun but avoided fries)
S: Peanuts - 5 carbs
D: Tuna Salad w/ Celery - 2 carbs

Not sure on the carbs with the bun but I'll estimate 25 carbs.

~Amanda

I'm feeling the joy of your 1.5 loss! Way to go!:Pinkbounc Your success is ALMOST making me want to get on the scale.:p Have a good day and keep treating yourself well.

Have you ever tried those bronzers in a tube? Do they work?
What's Mystic Tan??

Hugs, Amanda--
Erin

Why Yes Erin I do use the bronzer in the tubes for Maintanence. Such as adding a little color to arms and legs if I need it. However the mystic is an all over body spray that last up to 7 to 10 days - it is great for weddngs and vacations because you have no need to touch up like the bronzers. Mystic Tan is probably available at a tanning salon near you. You walk into a stand up booth (naked) and they spray your front for 15 seconds, back for 15 seconds and then you are done! Towel off and go home and about 4 hours later you have a beautiful rich tan that last for a week!

The only thing I added to the menu yesterday was about 5 or 6 strawberries and whip cream when we got home last night. I have missed fruit! I'm going to search for all the low carb fruits and pick up some more because I really miss munching on them.

Todays plan:
B: 2 slices of Colby/Jack cheese and 6 small strawberries
L: ?? Not 100% sure. Either Tuna Salad again or leftovers from dinner the other night.
D: Italian Roasted Chicken with Veggies
Exercise: Walk/Run 30 minutes. I clocked it last night and we are doing 3 miles in 30 minutes at the moment so that is pretty good!
Snacks: Honey Roasted Peanuts or I may make some sugar free jello.

I'm off to having another great day! By the way checked the scale and I am down another 1.5 lbs - and holding at 153 lbs! Hopefully with the running and the good eating I will break through the plateau I was at at 152lbs.

~Amanda

Hi Amanda.

You sound like you are doing great. Congrats on that 1.5 pound loss. That is awesome.
Have a great Wednesday.
Beth

Dearest Amanda, I'd send you a  but I'm probably contagious. :p Thanks for helping me smile! :hyper2:

Glad you are down a few pounds - good for you! :sunny:

Would you all believe me if I told you the scale said 150.5 lbs this morning? BECAUSE IT DID! :faint: I'm not going to update my signature yet because I want to make sure it last and isn't just a fluke. But I had to check it like 3 times this morning and sure enough 150.5 lbs every time. WHOO HOO!

Yesterday's Breakdown:
B: 6 small strawberries and 2 slices of cheese - 11 carbs
L: Smoked Sausage (3) + 1 cup of Green Beans (2) + 2 small celery sticks and cream cheese
S: Coffee w/sugar free Vanilla Syrup and Halfnhalf
D: Italian Herb Chicken Breast - grilled, 1 cup of chopped up Cauliflower in butter and cheese, 1/4 cup of Au Gratin Potatoes.
S: Low Carb Ice Cream

We ended up not exercising last night because we were both so tired and wanted to relax. With the schedule we have for the rest of the week we won't be able to walk/run any night so we will have to repeat this week - next week :)

Today's Schedule
B: 1 egg and slice of cheese - 2 carbs
L: Subway Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap - 8 carbs
D: We have the wedding rehersal and dinner tonight so I have no idea what dinner will be tonight. I am going to be as good as possible with the options offered to me.

Still can't believe the scale said 150.5 lbs this morning. I am so hoping it goes down tomorrow again!

~Amanda
