Amanda's Menu Planning Spectacular!

Amanda, I bet you're lookin' like ONE FABULOUS BABE!!! :cool1:

I'm so glad you're on the mend! Have a lovely Wednesday! :sunny:

Hi Amanda,

I bet you look fabulous, and more importantly, you feel like you look fabulous. I'm glad you are feeling better, and I am sure that the sniffles will be gone soon. Keep listening to your body.

Take care,
Beth

princess: Amanda is looking good and feeling fine!:teeth: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I hope today brings you peace and happiness, Amanda--and thanks for spreading some of that good stuff in my journal! I appreciate it.

 ,
Erin

Dear Amanda, I'm sending you a  and some :flower2: :flower2: :flower2: for your day. Know that you are perfect just the way you are.

I hope your workday goes smoothly and you leave work feeling happy and proud of what you accomplished. I believe it was Eleanor Roosevelt who said "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." I'm not sure why that quote came to mind, but maybe it's something you need to hear today?

At any rate, I hope today is a good one, princess: Amanda! :sunny:

Thank you Doe! Your post made me :D

Yesterday was a rough day. Yet another thing at work happened and again my hand got slapped. It wasn't even a big deal, and I wasn't in trouble but as soon as I got to my desk I broke down into waves of tears for about 15 minutes. I think I needed my mini-breakdown though because I really do feel much better today.

There comes a time in every sickness when you have to realize that you are no longer sick and using it as an excuse to eat what you want. That was me yesterday! I hate a whole caramello bar! So I am back on the wagon as of today!

B: 1/2 crossiant with eggs, ham, and cheese
L: Either Tuna Salad or leftover Alice Springs Chicken from last night.
S: String Cheese or Peanuts
D: Pork Chops, Cauliflower Rice with Cajun seasonings.
S: ??

Amanda,
 I'm sorry to hear about your day at work yesterday. I hope that today is a much better day filled with :teeth: and :sunny: for you.

Take care,
Tracy:wave2:

  Amanda,

I am sorry that it was so rough yesterday. Mmm caramello bar. Much better than fruity pebbles. If you are going off program, that is how to do it.

I bet you are feeling better today. Sometimes you just need a good cry. I'm sending :wizard: to help you get back op today.

Take care,
Beth

I'm sorry you had a rough time at work. Hope today was a better day. That candy bar sure does sound good right about now.;)

Beth you crack me up! :jumping1: But I must admitt the carmello bar was more satisfying then the fruity pebbles.

Well today was not a perfect day but it was a good transition. No junk food, but not exactly low carb either.

B: 1/2 crossant with eggs, ham, and cheese
L: Crazy Bowls and Wraps Chicken Ceasar Wrap
D: Mustard Pork Chops (Very good and very low carb) and some noodles and sauce (very good and not low carb)
S: I made some chocolate mouse with sugar free hot chocolate mix and some whipping cream.

I then took about an hour long bath while reading a really great book and drinking a very dry wine. Talk about a relaxing evening.

I got invited to yet another dang wedding shower. I think I am going to decline the invitation though because I just don't have the energy to do anymore. Plus I talked to the bride and she said that was fine. LOL! Not to mention I am going broke with all this stuff! I am already throwing a bachlorette party for this bride on the 25th that will cost about $100, plus a $50 wedding present at the end of the month. Sheesh!

Well I need to get back to my book - if anyone is intersted in a good lazy read the book is "The Villa" by Nora Roberts and I am about halfway through it and LOVING it!

~Amanda

Ooooooo, a Nora Roberts book!!! When I'm looking for a good break from reality, she's one of the top authors on my list! ::yes:: Haven't read "The Villa" yet though - thanks for the tip!

You sure do know how to relax!! Ahhhhhhhhh!

I hope you have a wonderful day, dear Amanda! Your transition day yesterday was a good start to getting back in the lc groove. Make today a little better and you'll be back on the wagon in no time flat! You'll be feeling better too!! ::yes:: Now if I could just take my own advice....

Enjoy your weekend! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Good Morning! Doe trust me you will love "The Villa" it is one of her mystery/romance novels and it is quite a page turner.

Plan for today -
B: 1 egg with Cheese and grapes, strawberries, Pineapple. (They are buying us breakfast at work - I'm avoiding the bagels and sticking with fruit) Orange Juice.

L: Either leftover Porkchops from last night or Leftover chicken from the other night.

D: Polish Sausage, veggies, Mac and Cheese for Brian and maybe just a little for me.

Plan for the weekend:
Saturday - Brian is working a half day and I will be pulling everything and anything out of our closet. We are going to be rearranging it better and moving a dresser into it. We've been wanting to do this for awhile but just haven't gotten around to it.

Sunday - Football!

~Amanda

Mustard porkchops sound yummy! Can you pm me the preparation as I am always looking for different recipes/creative ways to make plain old meat! Thanks. Have a good day.:D

Wilderness - I have not forgotten about you and will send you the recipe tonight!

What a weekend. I was completely off the wagon the entire weekend. And I can feel it in the way my jeans fit. It is time to get back on the wagon so if someone could give me a hand in pulling my big butt up there I would appreciate it :p .

We had a good weekend - got the closet completely done and lots of stuff to give away to the homeless so that is good. Saw both my FIL and my Dad on Sunday, watched great Rams football and watched the Cardinals win the division! Whoo hoo! :bounce:

Plan for today:
B: Nothing - wasn't hungry. Did have some apple cider 20 carbs
L: Either Tuna Salad or one of many low carb leftovers.
S: String Cheese (if necessary)
D: Chicken Breast - not sure how I am going to cook them yet.
S: ?

To do List:
Clean out fridge
Go through party invitation list and call those who have not RSVP yet.
Vaccum living room
Walk 10 minutes.

~Amanda

:wave2: Amanda,

We'll do the healthy living thing together, ok. Maybe with both of us doing it, we'll manage to drag our behinds into the wagon.

I'm glad you had a great weekend. You deserve one. Your last 6 weeks have been so crazy busy. One of my pet peeves are people who don't rsvp.

Have a great Monday.
Beth

You know, Amanda, I think I'm a little jealous of you. You always sound like you have the cleanest house on the block--the closet, the fridge, vacuuming--c'mon over, would you? :p

Have a great Tuesday and treat yourself well!
Erin

:rotfl: This coming from the woman who cleaned her blinds the other day!:rotfl: Erin I can assure you my house is not clean. I wait until the last possible minute to do anything. And the only reason I am cleaning out my fridge is because things have started to grow in there! We do Vaccum alot, but with 3 cats, 2 of them long haired, you have to.

Yesterday was just fair eating wise. And I only got 1 thing done on my to do list. My SIL called me to watch our two nephews for about an hour and a half - ended up being 2 hours. It was exhausting since Ryan (8 months old) didn't want to go down for a nap while I was there and he was extra cranky. One thing that aggravates me - I love to watch my nephews but I wish my SIL would make a point on being on time to pick them up. Especially on a work day when my time at home is limited. Every time I watch her kids she is at least 30 minutes late picking them up.

Okay - on to today. I weighed in this morning at 155 lbs. And my goal is to be under 30 carbs today.

B: Eggs and Sausage - 5 carbs
L: Leftovers or Tuna Salad
D: ??? Probably chicken breast again - although I don't know how I am going to cook them.

~Amanda

:rotfl: Amanda, you and I must be related!! I also clean at the last possible moment! The last time I cleared out the fridge, I even threw the CONTAINERS away! It was just too much hassle to clean out the mystery food in them so I chucked it all! :rotfl:

It's so sweet of you to babysit your nephews! I hope your SIL truly appreciates you, though it doesn't sound like it to me. Funny how other people can be so wasteful of OUR time! Whatchagonnado??

I'm not sure if there's anyone LEFT on the wagon anymore to help us all get back up there. :hyper: Sounds like we're all struggling in our own way. However, we'll get back up on that ole wagon one way or another! If I don't, I'll have to buy new pants! :teeth:

Best wishes for a wonderful day, dear Amanda! Now, we're both gonna log off the DIS & get back to work, right???? :wave2:

Well I did okay tonight - wasn't perfect and went over 30 carbs but still alot better then I have been. Breakdown of food went as such:

B: Eggs and Sausge - 5 carbs
L: Pork Chop (2 carbs) and Greenbeans (2 carbs) - 4 carbs
S: Twix Bar - 10 carbs
D: Chicken Nachos - figure 17 carbs for the chips
and I drank half of DH's Mt. Dw.

But ya know what - no binging! So for that I am :Pinkbounc

~Amanda

:p Hey, you're right, Amanda. I DID clean my blinds. . .I forgot about that! I feel like a Cleaning Wonder Woman now!:p I feel like I'm in your league!:p

Let's hear it for no binge eating!:thewave: I made it through yesterday, too. How 'bout we do it again today? I'll do it if you will.

Have a good Wednesday, OK? I see Friday on the horizon--that weekend is coming soon!:Pinkbounc
