I love a good fireworks show as much as the next person, but Wishes just didn't do it for me. Anyone else?

I feel completely opposite but everyone has their rightful opinion.

I am a fireworks nut and love the show. My wife who doesnt get into fireworks, never really liked FITS and doesnt like Illuminations but LOVES Wishes.

Im the fireworks nut who goes and spends $300 on consumer grade fireworks for July 4. I love em! I love Wishes!

I enjoy the show well enough, but I'm not one to hang out and deal with the madness of trying to leave WDW with everyone else, just to see Wishes.

One DD and I liked watching Wishes everynight. Of course we were in the CR with a view of the fireworks. My DW and other DD weren't that into it. They watched about half the shows from the balcony.

So it isn't just you.

What is FITS?

Fantasy in the Sky. It was the name of the fireworks show that preceeded Wishes. Funny, I agree w/ the OP. Wishes doesn't really do anything for me. But unlike the person that mentioned FITS first above...That show use to bring me to tears. Go figure. :confused3 I thouht FITS was just beautiful.

Oh my . . . yes, I absolutely LOVE it. The music, the fireworks . . . gives me chills!!! :yay:

I was not into Wishes at all the one time I saw it. :sad2: However, I LOVE Illuminations and could watch it every night. :goodvibes

To each his own...

I also agree with the OP as well as your post. I like Wishes, but I really have a special place for FITS. :thumbsup2

I LOVE Wishes; it makes me cry (although to be fair, I cry at EVERYTHING). I think it is just beautiful. My DFIL grew up in DC and saw their fireworks every year and said they had nothing on Wishes.

I don't know how I feel about Illuminations though. We tried to see it last year, but there was a downpour and we ended up leaving before the show ended.

It's Illuminations that brings me to tears. We like watching Wishes from behind the castle. You lose all the centering on the castle, but are so close to the shells. It's great. I think I like Fantasmic more than Wishes too, so my nighttime show order is
1) Illuminations
2) Fantasmic
3) Wishes

I really like Wishes, especially the music. What I don't like is that you can't get the full effect of the fireworks from anywhere other than Main St. Watching from the Tomorrowland bridge used to be a great spot for FITS, but it's a disappointment to watch Wishes from there.

To me Wishes is by far the best fireworks display and the music to me is very moving.

However I have tried a million different times Illuminations and I just can't seem to get the same feeling. I think it is missing something, don't know what.

But my little sis loves it so I will be seeing it again in April who knows hopefully this time I will see what everyone else does about Illuminations.

For me the best place that I saw Wishes was from Ohana's having dinner, they even piped the music in from the parks. It was amazing!!

LOVE Wishes.

HATE dealing with the throngs of people attempting to exit down Main Street.

I think that's one MARVELOUS thing about Epcot. After their night time show, everyone isn't ushered down a narrow passage way. There's MUCH more space, and you can go on the east or west side of Spaceship Earth.

But that's not what this thread was about.

The exiting thing makes Wishes just so-so for me. :)

Agreed!! We watched Wishes from the Tomorrowland bridge in December and were extremely disappointed - the show was designed to be seen from Main Street - I also enjoy the view from the Wishes Fireworks cruise.

I'm with you richs! :thumbsup2
Also, I don't want people to get the impression that I think Wishes is a bad show, it just doesn't give me that Disney feeling like Illuminations does.
