Am I the only one who's never heard of a OGMS?

I though Disboards prepared me for my one and only trip to WDW in 2006. I learned about the wonders of dole whips, school bread, zebra domes and the like before my trip and love them.

Just found out about the Orange Grand Marnier Slush (OGMS) and apparently it is wildly popular. In fact it was the drink Samantha Brown was drinking on "Best Places I've Ever Been: Disney Memories".

Was wondering if it is popular here too and I just so happen to avoid the reviews.

If you are a fan, please let me know. I'm officially curious and adding it to my list of must have for my upcoming trip.

Thanks DIS'ers!

I love these. They get their own budget. No way I am missing out. Honestly, the kids love the mickey bars and I love these. Thank goodness for hoppers so I can zip over to EPCOT almost every afternoon to enjoy!

Where do you get one????
Ahem....do they pack a punch;):dance3:
Thanks
Kerri

Samantha Brown did a Disney special several years ago on travel channel. She actually tells everyone her Disney favorites and this is one of the things she mentions. She actually tells you where to get them and orders one from the stand in the world showcase. I saw this and knew I had to try one....needless to say In the 2 trips since it was the one thing I wanted on a hot day in the world showcase!! :thumbsup2

I've had them and I really want to say I love them, but they are just OK to me. I will however make sure I have another the next time I go. :lmao:

I had read about them here on the food boards so I was all excited to try one, but I didn't really like it. To me it tasted like half melted orange sherbet. Oh well, next time I'll try to lemon one instead

You can find them at a kiosk right infront of the France Pavilion. This is my favorite drink in all of Disney, I think of them as a liquid dreamsicle . Everytime we walk by the France Pavilion I have to have one. I am like the PP, I have a budget just for them. I only wish I knew how to make them at home. Definitely try one, you will get hooked :goodvibes

It isn't a snack because it's an alcoholic beverage. They're about 8-9 dollars, and the lemon one is better :thumbsup2

Hello old friend...

I loved this and didn't find that it packed a big punch. I'll probably try the lemon next time but not because this one wasn't delish... just because I wanna try 'em both! :thumbsup2

Gotta love this place....awesome pic....

might have to try it just to have it in that glass;)

All my friends rave over the Grey Goose Citron Lemon Slushie (GGCLS as it's called) - I've even made them at home once, but I prefer the orange one.

I found this through a SB search:

Grey Goose Citron Vodka Slushie
Drink Kiosk by France, Epcot

3 cups Grey Goose Citron Vodka
1 cup *Polynesian Pleasure Lemon Frozen Drink Mix from Florida Natural Flavours in Casselberry, FLA
Ice if making in a blender or water according to manufacturer’s instructions for slush machine.

Mix Vodka and Polynesian Pleasure Lemon. It helps to chill the mix before putting in a slushie machine. Add the required amount of water for your machine (generally for 1 liter alcohol you use 1 ¾ gallon or 28 cups water.)
If making in a blender use enough ice to produce the slushie effect.
* can try substituting frozen Minute Maid lemonade

Grand Marnier Orange Slush
Drink Kiosk by France, Epcot

3 cups Grand Marnier
1 cup *Orange Fruit Smoothie from Florida Natural Flavours in Casselberry, FLA
Ice if making in a blender

Same instructions as for the Lemon Slush.
*If substituting the Orange Fruit Smoothie try for something with an orange dreamsicle taste.

As you can see, it came from the DIS back in 2008. Thanks Tatania, if you're still hear. :)

It's plastic, but definitely adorable. I tried to keep them, but my aunt threw away the first, and the second cracked before I got to the airport. :headache:

Definitely heard of the drink ~ hadn't heard of that abbeviation though... :confused3

It's ok ~ I prefer the Grey Goose Citron slush myself.

Always looking for a different drink to try in the Worlds at EPCOT, our favorite park. The marqaritas in Mexico are awesome & we usually get one of those, goes good on a hot day. :woohoo:
