Let me put it this way:
I started in January with 11 months left until my trip. My countdown bar was long and the fish was alllll the way at the left when i wanted it all the way to the right.
I would see people with their countdown timers saying "1 month" or "18 days" and the like and I would think "geez i hope they know how lucky they are!
And now suddenly I am one of those people, with only 22 days left until our big trip. Surreal!
Only 22 days until my kids first airplane ride!
...until my mum gets to share the magic with the next generation in our family
...until my tough guy brother gets to go back to the world (hasn't been in i think 20 years) and who said "thanks mom, I never thought I would ever get back to Disney
...until i cry (inevitable) tears of happiness when my kids first experience the characters, again and again and again
...until I surprise my mum with a cake at 1900 park fare for her birthday (this is her birthday trip, her birthday was in may (it was a 'big ' one) and we were not allowed to celebrate it then)
...until i enter a world that will take me away from the daily struggles in my own world, until i can escape my horrible year as an adult (2 deaths in family in past 3 months, my husband walked out on me and the kids, etc) and be a kid again
Surreal!
yet oh so wonderful!

Enjoy your trip.. sounds like you are going to make plenty of new good memories to keep with you
I still ended up going on the 4 night with my Aunt and Uncle and my DD and I had a really wonderful time!! We needed that trip so bad!
Hubby and I have even managed to get our life back together. Life was not so great away from us!
