Am I the only one who doesn't care about....

Ah, you've found out my guilty secret  Love the pomp and ceremony.
Will it impact my life? No, but it will be fun to watch. I'll be PVRing it!

:thumbsup2

I'm from UK originally, so I have seen firsthand some of the pomp and pageantry and love it :goodvibes

I wish I could be back in UK right now for the atmosphere, They are having street parties across the country on the day of the wedding, which would be a lot of fun :cheer2:

I dont care about it. I have a upcomming trip I am getting ready for. I dont have time or give a crap about anything else!

Me too! Maybe that's part of the attraction! My sister is heading into London to see what she can..I am so jealous...:rolleyes1

I'm not much of a royal watcher, but I find it a pleasant change. These days the news is full of war, murder, natural disasters its so depressing. I'm enjoying the break from the real world to watch a real life fairytale!

Oh I can't wait! My 3 BFF's and I are having a Royal Wedding 'sleepover' LOL...one friend is making scones with Jam and Cream..another tiny tea sandwiches and I am making Strawberry and Cream Muffins with lots of English tea of course!! We will get up at 3 a.m when the CTV coverage begins and thoroughly enjoy what only the Brits can do!!!!;)

That sounds like such fun!
I will be getting up early with my two DD's. I watched Charles and Diana's wedding when I was a young girl. I watched Andrew and Sarah's as well.
This wedding will be a piece of our history and I want to make sure my DD's will have a memory of us getting up in the middle of the night and watching a real life fairytale!
William is our future king and Catherine our queen. I wish them the very best!

I LOVE this idea :thumbsup2 Have Fun :cheer2:

Hmmmm....I may just have my own solo party and make a cup of earl grey tea and some english goodies ;)

Wouldn't it be great if they said their "I dos" and then strolled down the aisle and out to the waiting masses and media and yelled "we're going to Disney World". LOL.

:rotfl2: That would be awesome!!! Thanks for the chuckle!

Im watching. My reasons are for personal ones. My grandmother and greatgrandmother came across on the boat from England when my grandma was 9. At that time it was inappropriate for single women (my greatgrandmother was widowed) to travel alone and my great grandmother had to pretend she was my grandmothers aunt during the journey. She was a lifelong admirer of the royal family and was a lovely proper english woman who always wore lipstick. She passed 29 years ago and I still miss her dearly. I know she will be in the front row when Will and Kate are married and I will be toasting not only the newlyweds but my lovely grandmother also.

Very sweet...I suspect my dear Mum will be sitting there beside her..she too held the royals near and dear. Here's to them both :flower3:

the Royal Wedding?? I am already so sick and tired of hearing it. Its on EVERY news station, every newspaper, every magazine. It seems like commercials are bombarding us with it. Am I happy for them? Absolutely...good for them for finding some love. However, I don't personally know them, they don't affect my life, I will never meet them, I won't ever be involved in their lives in any way. I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just trying to understand what the hoop-lah is all about??? :confused3

Am I just not getting it?

I just posted the same thing in the budget board!!! Only because I think it is a huge waste of $$$$$$ ;)

In a world full of despair ...I think it's a lovely fairy tale unfolding.
Not sure there will be that many more of these wonderful celebrations I will get to see so I am going to enjoy every moment!

Personally I don't understand the whining about this wedding. This is how the Royals do it and have been forever. Most of the British people love it. Heck most of the world is watching today but no one here is forced to watch or pay for it.

Oh relax......I don't think anyone is whining, just simply stating their opinion as you did yours. Geesh.....:sad2:
