MSEP
This ^ Most people love or hate a version of a parade or show based on what they grew up on.
The MSEP is the first parade I saw as a teenager and the first parade my two son's saw as kids and the only night time parade I know.
Its kind of like when people want to go back to the "Original" song on COP. Not realizing that "Now is the time" was not the original song and was a commercial for GE.
I have fond memories of the one in Disneyland so I can't get enough of MSEP at MK. Its outdated, but never feels old to me.

SpectroMagic. It was the first parade I saw on my first trip when I was 16. I remember standing on the curb with my Grandmother, the lights went out, the music started, and we were in complete awe. While I think MSEP has a certain old-timey feel to it, and I love parades, I just do not care for it at all. I think the music is the worst part, it is so repetitive and grating, it takes some willpower not to cover my ears. We still watch for the kids, my DS and whomever else is with, but it would not bother me to skip it every time.
but crikey I love that parade, would merrily watch it twice a night and often do. Its my ringtone too...
