who has never gone to a parade at WDW?? We were going to go to the parade this past Feb. but it was cancelled due to rain. Anyone else never done the parade thing??

Our last trip in August we never watched a parade. But we have in the past.

I've never watched a WDW parade either. Not my cup of tea.

We didn't see a parade for our first few trips, but after seeing Spectromagic for the first time, I have to see it at least once each trip.

I've seen one, and would be fine if I never saw another. Not my cup of tea either.

I don't schedule my day around them. But I must say that SpectoMagic was pretty cool.

I'm not a big parade watcher myself. If I happen on one I might stop and watch. We watched Spectromagic last year only because we were waiting for e-night to begin.

Have never seen a parade. I just can't see staking out a spot and waiting for hours... I would rather go see the attractions. Besides, the lines are shorter during the parade!

I loved the Electric Light Parade at Disneyland and would make an effort to see that every night.

Other than that...nope, we always skip it. Too much of a hassle to get a good seat.

Have seen Spectromagic and MSEP but have never seen a WDW parade during the afternoon. We are always back to our hotel at the time the daytime parades run in the parks.

We've seen just about all the parades and still like to see Spectromagic. We miss Tapestry of Dreams at Epcot.

If we do see a parade anymore we'll choose to stand back away from the "curb" crowd. You still see a lot and don't have the constant pressure from the row of people behind you. Whenever we were curbside we always walked away with a sore back from trying not to fall forward as the people behind is pressed to get a better look or camera shot. One time there was somebody too close to us with five day old body odor... whew! No escape, either.

Also, the parade themes used to change each year, but now it's the same as the year before, and the year before that...

I think the parades at WDW are super, but I don't like standing any longer than necessary, and I like standing and waiting even less. Having said that, we were able to get a good place to watch Spectro in October, maybe our best viewing position ever, and thought it was much more enjoyable with a great view.

OK.....for those of you that dont watch or "isnt your cup of tea" may I ask why???? Is it because of the crowds or some othere reason.

I LOVE all of the parades at Disney but once I have seen one I will usually ride the rides instead. Some I have seen recently again because the first time dd saw them she was too young to remember. If we can get a great spot without having to stake a spot out hours ahead of time we will watch.Like we usually get a front spot in Frontierland and it doesnt get very crowded either.

Just wondering....

Same here...My kids just are not into the parades and would rather meet the characters one on one. As for the non character parades, my family just really isn't interested in them and would rather ride the rides.

Tapestry of Nations was my favorite parade and the only one that I would actually make time to see.

Most Disney parades bore me. The exceptions have been Tapestry of Nations and The Main Street Electrical Parade. This year I am going nto check out Spectromagic, but I am not interested in any of the other parades.
