Am I supposed to hear the "ding?"

I've downloaded SWA's ding program, and I can view the fares when I bring the screen up. (I keep it minimized at the bottom of the screen.) I never hear the ding however, and wondered what might be wrong. I have the speaker turned up. Does anyone have the same problem or idea of how to resolve it?

My DING works fine, in fact DW heard it this morning and called me to ask if the computer is suspossed to make that noise.

You might check the extended properties of the volume control on your PC. You might have certain types of files/sounds muted. Unmute everything except the mic control and turn up the volumes. DING only dings when SW releases a DING. If you are not there when it happens, you won't hear it.

right-click on the ding icon and make sure "Enable audio notification" has a check mark next to it.

Oh WOW! I wasn't hearing the Ding and now I do! My audio was not checked. Thanks mill4023!
