Am I right about this? Non DVC hotels and discounts?

Do we get a discount at non DVC resorts.. say the Poly for instance? I thought I remembered our guide saying we got something like a 10% discount if we book through member services.. but it was so long ago I may be dreaming this all up.

I do realize we can use points there as well.. not the best way to use points in my opinion.

We are wanting to stay at either AKL or the Poly after our OKW stay next summer.

There are no DVC discounts on cash reservations at non-DVC resorts. The 25% member discount is only for DVC resorts.

I don't think MS will/can make cash reservations except for DVC resorts- but definitely cannot offer any discounts for those options. MS does make point reservations at the non-DVC resorts ad cash reservations (with or without the member discount).

Are you sure you weren't dealing with CRO or WDWTC? Maybe they transferred you to CRO? AFAIK, MS does not even have the access needed to make a cash reservation at a non-DVC resort.
