Am I out of line here? 1800flowers

I used 1800Flowers last August for a friends birthday, I ordered a particular bouquet because it had yellow roses and it did not say there would be substitutions.

She received the flowers and thought they were stunning and sent me a picture, no roses! So I called 1800Flowers customer service to complain that the bouquet was not right and my dissappointment. The customer service representative arranged to have another arrangement sent with roses next day.

My friend was thrilled to have received so many flowers and it all worked out well.

I would use them again, since I thought they had great customer service. My local flower shops are usually pricier.
 
I used 1800Flowers once -- for my wife's birthday -- and it was a huge mistake. I ordered their "Birthday Cake" to be delivered to my wife's workplace. Ordered several days in advance; got all kinds of guarantees that it would be delivered before lunch, blah, blah blah.

It finally arrived around 7:10 p.m. on her birthday. Fortunately, the night crew heard the delivery person at the door and signed for the delivery. So she got them -- a day late and a dollar short.

Had to go 5 rounds with their alleged customer service people. Never again will I use them. Never!
 
Thank you all for your replys. I ended up getting through to them after being on hold for a while and I told them just to cancel the order. They had no problem doing that. I am suposed to get all the money back within 72 hours. I would rather have the $100 then get flowers. Thank all of you again!
