Evening all

We are booked for this week next year at the Cheyenne and I was debating going a day early, staying offsite and maybe even catching the Sunday Themed Buffet at Inventions but I'm hitting a major roadblock.

I remember getting quotes not so long ago for €80 euro for the Kyriad for one night and the best I can see now is €172 for one night. Tried dummy bookings for January and February too and they were equally as ridiculous. Have the prices seriously gone up that much or am I just looking too early?

DC and MC were also overpriced at €350ish for one night!
Thanks in advance,
Kiz

you're looking way too early for Jan/Feb/March next year - try looking again in September onwards this year :). I found my offsite deal for April this year at the end of December 2013 for the Kyriad.

eta - if its a Saturday night you want for your one night offsite, it will be more expensive than any other day of the week, even in low season.

Aaaaah I see! Too well organised I suppose!!
Thanks for the info. Its a Sunday night - DLP would be an extra £100 but I was hoping to try the Kyriad and just have a mooching around kinda day at VdE so thats a bit more then I wanted to pay. The Elysse was also looking very appealing! Handy for the bit of retail therapy ;)
Not long til you go too! You must be getting very excited! :wizard:

Worth bearing in mind that VdE is closed sundays - we got caught out by this last year.

And I would definatley wait to book. We are staying 3 nights in the Magic Circus next month for a total of 320 euro, including breakfast for 4:goodvibes

gotta love an AP :goodvibes

Also try mobile deals, some of those are very good.

What sites are you looking on? I can't get Kyriad to come up past December on its own site, it keeps directing me to Premiere Classe or Campanile hotels instead.

Oh! Didn't know that it closed Sundays! Thanks for the heads up. Bargain for the Magic Circus ;-) hope you have a great time.

Yep I got that redirection too so I tried trivago, hotels combined & alpharooms - one of them came in at €1700ish!! Strange though because I've always found cheaper rates booking far out for other places!

All major shops close on Sundays in France - though some shopping outlets such as Cité Europe etc, have their food courts open. But nothing else. Not even the supermarkets open........but DLP does ;)

You could find a good deal onsite for next year from November onwards - we got the Cheyenne for £40 on a Wednesday and last week it was showing up as £60 for a Sunday. Though you will always get a Premier Classe (St Thiabault is actually quite nice, but Tory, while close to the shops, is an American motel style tiny room) They are ok for one night if you're not used to it, but we did 7nights there in the summer as it was only £39 a night. It only sleeps three - they all do - but two rooms might be cheaper than one elsewhere. But we did drive over and it was easy for us. I think your best bet might be to hold on but assume you're going the day before if that makes sense, you will no doubt get somewhere for a great price Kizzy :-)

I'm looking for something with some transport link to get us to DLP - couldnt hack driving on the other side! I'm nervous on the motorways here and prone to making a mess of things! Plus the flights are cheaper then the ferry (the joys of living in Ireland :rolleyes2 )

Thanks for that! I just need to hold my cool! I like having all my ducks in a row but this will have to be a budget trip as best as I can make it so I'll have to play chicken with the flights and hotel. Must pick your brain on some of the offsites soon - June next year offsite with APs is looking tempting :thumbsup2

Kizzy I've booked residhome prestige for 3 nights after our feb half term trip with travel republic £66 a night only a £1 deposit.
May change it a little but but thought it was a great price I want to be there for the boys birthday ( the Sunday ) and do the brunch.

Kizzy planning on using the number 50 free bus, we did it as a bit of a dummy run last week.
It's fine will use it on our October trip.
I think as my lot get older VDE going to be where we stay we really need our own bedrooms.

These prices are normally out later in the year - Sept maybe? And Expedia had the super cheap prices.

thats right - quite a few travel companies sell onsite room only cheaper than Disney does, for dates between November and March each year.

Those room rates should be available, as kizzabel says, from around August/September.

Ha! This is so funny!! We're looking to do something similar in October - we have booked Monday to Friday in Santa Fe, but are now thinking of getting another night booked - on the Sunday night - in one of the main partner hotels (Dream, Explorers, Kyriad or Circus). We'll arrive around late lunchtime, have a quiet afternoon, early dinner, and early night so DD has a good night's sleep (she's normally a 12 hour a night girl and can get whingy without it - as we discovered last week!!) ready for our first full day in the park.

So I'm going to start looking for good deals for one of those (I'm expecting the Kyriad to be the cheapest) in the next few weeks....

Kizzy did you look on travel republic ?
It the cheapest I can find with very low deposits £1.

Got a bit of a mare here in a good way though DH says he could fancy coming on our feb trip :goodvibes
So I would have to cancel the Cheyenne or prob move the booking to May or end of July 2015.
So I've now got a 7 night booking at the adagio city for £469 (£1 deposit )
I can Cancel any time.
My Cheyenne booking mon / fri and 3 nights at residhome prestige ( £1 deposit).

The adagio is a price for 5 of us I know it's a long trip for feb but the twins are 7 on the Sunday and I really want to do the brunch for it.
Xx

Hey all, thanks for your help!

Had a look last night and found the Kyriad for €65 for one night B&B with trivago! Booked it up but I can always cancel if the Cheyenne comes up cheap when expedia/ebookers get room only onsite allocations for Winter 14/15.

Thanks again for all the tips and info.
