Am I missing something? Less for 2 single day tix than a 2 day?

Have you checked Orange County SNA or Long Beach LGB airports?? Surprisingly sometime they are cheaper than LAX especially with the cost of transportation if you need it.

This right here - we have flown into all three local airports and are one and done with LAX. Flying into both SNA and LGB and transportation to DLR is a breeze compared to LAX, whether renting a vehicle or taking a cab/Uber.

Our last trip out we flew Southwest into LGB, deplaned and had our luggage within 15 minutes of deplaning. Cab ride to our Harbor street hotel was 15-20 minutes and we were checking in less than an hour after our flight landed. I couldn’t believe how efficient it was and this was the first time we didn’t rent a vehicle. We may never rent a car again for future DLR trips, that trip proved to me that we simply didn’t need it.
