My ADR date is approaching and I want to make sure we aren't missing anything. We will be on the DDP and travelling with two small children.
I would appreciate any feedback you can give :)

Table Service Meals:
CP (breakfast)
LTT (dinner)
WCC (dinner)
CRT(lunch)
Beaches and Cream (dinner)
Coral Reef (dinner)
LeCellier (dinner)

**Looking for 2 more TS
Have done CM, 1900 PF and Akershus on previous trips, so probably
won't go back to these.

Would also love any suggestions for CS Meals. On our list already is:
Flame Tree - LOVE this place!
WPE at DTD
Please let me know if there are any CS meals that you would def. do other than these two.

For a CS meal in the MK, try Columbia Harbor House. It's our favorite in that park, and (shhh) most folks don't know about the upstairs seating. Usually much quieter up there.

A couple suggestions for TS's: Biergarten in Germany at Epcot (good selection of food at the buffet and great entertainment), Plaza Restaurant at Magic Kingdom (a simpler meal after all the "big" meals--they serve salads, sandwiches (burgers, grilled chicken, club, reubens); the portions are huge and the shakes and sundaes are terrific, Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club for either breakfast (character) or dinner (clambake).

Our not to be missed CS's are: Flame Tree (just like you--we love it), Columbia Harbour House and Pinocchio Village Haus.

Thank you for your response! We have eaten at CHH on both of our most recent trips and also like that place a lot. Didn't know about that seating...thanks for the tip :)

Thanks for your response! I keep hearing good things about Biergarten. I was going to do LeCellier for the CP dinner package. Would you switch to Biergarten and do LeCellier on another night??? Never been to the Plaza or Cape May either...thanks for the suggestions! So, the dinner at Cape May is not a character meal, right?

We have never done the CP package so I'm not sure what restaurants are inhivolved.
We love The Plaza. Cape May breakfast is characters--Minnie, Goofy and Chip and Dale in beach attire; Cape May dinner is a clambake buffet with clams, other seafood and American food. The dessert section is terrific.

I am sorry for not explaining. The CP is the Candlelight Processional that takes place at Epcot during the holiday season. I believe you can choose LeCellier or Biergarten to eat at before the show if you do the dinner package. Just didn't know if you had a suggestion on which one to do. I will def. consider the other two restaurants too. Thanks!

My children were 4 and 6 when we went last and they LOVED Ohanas dinner our last night at Disney. They want to go back just for the special order ice bucket!!

I think I'd try for the TS Spoodles and maybe Ohana.

For CS, my favorite CS we had last year was Sunshine Seasons in Epcot.

Although i havent ate here yet, my DBF and I are eating at Teppan Edo in Epcot! It is Japanese food with the Hibatchi Grill!! (Like Benihana) I think that this would be fun and yummy! As far as CS meals go, to me, there is nothing like going to Starlight Cafe in MK and hearing the Monster sing while im chowing down on a burger! :lovestruc

I noticed you have Beaches and Cream for dinner one night.Be aware they do not take adrs ( walk ups and waits only)and this place is very small and can be very crowded most of the day.So try and go at an off time.

Biergarten which is recommended above. Most small kids I know love music and the entertainment at Biergarten should be up their alley. Possibly Ohana also mentioned above.

You must try Kona at the Polynesian if you haven't been there before! You can eat there for B,L, and Dinner and you'll find something you'll like. It's my kids (12 and 4) favorite place (for a non-character meal) and ours too!

I have heard lots of great things about Ohana and Kona.
Although breakfast is probably my favorite meal, we will be saving most of our TS credits for dinners and just doing simple breakfast snacks, so which one would be better for dinner?

Looks like we will definately add Biergarten to the ADR list.

RMulieri...thanks for the note about B&C. This is one of our favorite places to eat...shouldn't have listed it as an ADR.

ekidwell0001....thanks for the suggestion. This does sound good and my kids may be entertained by this. I will definately think about it.

creativeamanda...where is Spoodles and what type of food do they have?

Hi,

I would suggest maybe Cape May Dinner Buffet or Breakfast Buffet with characters. Tutto Italia at the Italy Pavillion in Epcot or Kona Cafe at the Polynesian.

Personally, I wouldn't use a TS credit at Beaches and Cream. Although it is a sit down restaurant, it feels more like a counter service in a way to me. It is very small and sometimes very crowded with long waits. I like the place, but would rather get more "bang for the buck" or credit in this case at another restaurant. There are so many other choices.

Have fun!!!!

for TS how about something in MGM, like sci-fi or 50s?

i'd suggest narcoosees or brown derby, but they're both 2 TS....

our favorite CS would be columbia harbor house (MK), the fish & chips stand (England), Yakitori House (Japan, for sushi) and sunshine seasons (Land)

Thanks! You aren't the first to recommend the Cape May buffet. We are from New England and LOVE seafood...would we be disappointed??
I completely agree with you on B&C. Not the best use of a TS credit at all, but soooo yummy and we have to go. I just remembered that we are going to have to pay OOP for one of our meals. B&C would probably be our best bet on that night.

We are taking the girls to CRT, so that is the only 2 credit TS meal we are doing this trip, but I keep hearing great things about both of those restaurants, so hopefully we can try them on another trip.
I have been to the 50s before, but my DH hasn't. Definately something to consider. What is Sci Fi like? Would two little girls like it?
Thanks for the CS suggestions. We like CHH too. We always seem to end up there. I will write the other two down for lunch options at Epcot. Thanks again!

Another vote here for Teppan Edo. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is delicious and the chefs entertain as they grill your food right at your table. The tables are for 8, so you would be seated with others, if that is an issue for you. Actually the same is true at the Biergarten.
For CS our favorites are:
MK Columbia Harbour House followed by Peco Bill's
AK Flame Tree since they changed Tusker House, which was the best CS in the world
DHS Nothing great, but the Backlot Express is passable
EC Wonderful International CS. We especially enjoy
Cantina de San Angel in Mexico for the combo plate, Sommerfest in Germany for a hot dog and ice cold beer, Harry Ramsdens Fish & Chips in the UK, The Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco for a Sharma sandwich and the Quiche and chocolate mousse at the bakery in France.
Have a Great Trip.

Cape May cafe breakfast is awesome! IF you get an early enough ressie, you will basically have non-stop characters all to yourselves! :goodvibes
