I was thinking about sneaking down to WDW for 4 days, 3/11-3/15 because I thought the crowds would be lighter than in July. Now, I see that it is Spring break for some places. I wanted to take my 2 y.o. when it is less crowded because he has a tendency to bolt & I didn't want to lose him in droves of people. I wanted to be able to give him a little freedom to roam out of the stroller for a little while (with me on his heels of course).

I have been checking availability & it seems like WDW resorts are not completely booked up for those days which leaves me optimistic.

I know this question has been asked before but please tell me it won't too, too crowded for my dates.

Thanks!:wave2:

To answer your question, it won't be too too crowded for your dates in March.

Enjoy your trip with your 2 y.o.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear.

Thanks!:sunny:

so glad to hear, is it still the same 3/15-3/19? we are going during the weekdays to avoid crowds.

Like if MK is opening at 9am...be at the park for 8:30...there's a special surprise, and even if the area in front of the railway station is jammed, it always amazes me that once you get up MainStreet, there are no crowds, no lines, it feels like its just you and yours...

We always ride Fantasyland first, and are usually done tomorrowland, and Adventure/Frontier in time to hit Toontown opening at 10am.:D

Have Fun!!:sunny:

I never like to discourage anyone from taking a Walt Disney World Vacation, but I wanted to offer a different opinion.

The dates you mentioned fall squarely within a peak attendence period at Walt Disney World. I would expect very large crowds during the time of your visit.

This is not to say I think you should not visit during this time. The weather should be excellent and the operating hours should be quite nice.

Still-- do not go with the assumption that you have chosen an off-season time. I'd hate for you to be dissapointed.

The following are attendence guidelines from disneyworld.com

Lowest Attendance: January (except New Year's Day) until just prior to Presidents' week in February
The week following Labor Day until just prior to Thanksgiving week
The week following Thanksgiving until the week prior to Christmas

Moderate Attendance: After Presidents' week in February through early March
Late April through early June (except Memorial Day weekend)
The first part of Thanksgiving week

Highest Attendance: Presidents' week in February
Mid-March through Late April ("Spring Break")
Memorial Day weekend
Mid-June through Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day and weekend
Christmas week through New Year's Day

Hope this helps :)

Oh No,

I am going down there for my honeymoon march 19 till april 2 i didnt think it was going to be that busy. I always thought that spring break was in april........... :(

I'm kind of worried about my possible trip in May. We were planning on going on the 16th and returning home on the 21st. I really hate the crowds and long lines. I know that we all love The World but when its over crowded, I really don't enjoy myself.

We have gone the first 2 weeks of March for the last 6 years. I can tell you that the first week of March the crowds are lower. By the second week the crowds are definately higher. We still are able to do everything that we wanted, but we usually try to do most of our favorites the first week.

We did have to book one week later than usual this year, but I hope everything will by fine!

Charlene, I'm assuming that's your son in your signature photo? He's ADORABLE!!!!!!!

I have nothing to contribute to this discussion. Just thought that photo was too dang cute! :)

Edited to add: And I'll be doggone! You're from Buffalo too!!!! :) I hope you enjoyed our brief spring period as much as I did.
