Am I just fooling myself? Discounts or FD on Little Mermaid rooms?

I really want to stay in the Little Mermaid room at AoA, but everywhere I look, I see that LM rooms aren't included in the discounted rooms and I remember last year, they didn't qualify for the free dining program either.

Be honest with me, do you think I should just give up on getting a discount for LM????

I guess we will just have to go back to Pop Century!

Yes, very unlikely that there will be discounts( not even AAA). I'm having the same problem trying to decide if I should take the LM rooms or book something else with a discount. My kids and niece and nephew really want to stay at AOA.

Discounts are used to fill rooms. Since they have little issue with filling the LM rooms at AoA discounts are few and far between.

I agree and although it's not likely that those rooms will be included in discounts at this time, I wouldn't say it's impossible. I would book what you like/can afford and if the LM rooms happen to come up later under a discount, you can always change your reservation (provided there is availability for your dates).

Exactly! Book what you want and is a discount is offered, consider it a bonus!
AoA resort is still so new, its in high demand. If it fills at rack rates, why would they offer a discount?

I have an AAA room rate in a Little Mermaid room in May. It is not much of a discount but better than rack rate!

Please tell us how you got the AAA discount and how much. I tried to book through Disney in Dec. for August dates and they told me they were not giving any discounts( even AAA) on Little Mermaid rooms. Did you go through a AAA office?

AAA discounts are not set, constant discounts. There are blackout dates and the % off varies between resorts even of the same resort level. Your dates/resort were probably just blacked out.
