Am I just a lush or are Disney's drinks weak :/

Try the Singapore Sling over F&W. I am by no means a lightweight (I had to survive with my DH's submarine buddies) but two of those almost killed me.

Depends on where you go. In general, I think the drinks are a bit weak. I though the margaritas at La Cava were perfect. I also found the drinks at Trader Sam's to be stronger than most WDW drinks.

Yes Lapu Lapus are strong! Also. The Sultans Colada at the stand in Morocco is delicious and only one made me tipsy walking around the world showcase. I also find the premixed/frozen drinks somewhat weak.

I'm not much of a drinker but all of the premixed drinks at Disney seem to be really weak. The slushies from the stand outside Mexico and the slushies from the cart outside France come to mind as being overpriced and weak. However if you get a drink that is actually made by someone then they aren't weak. I love the Sultans Colada from the Morrocco cart. Going to try the Lapu Lapu this time around.

I've found that most of the premixed drinks are weak, with the one exception being China's Cantaloopy (Joy of Tea stand).

Trader sams was pouring them strong last night. My Hippopoto-mai-tai had me more than buzzed :)

I think the drinks are weak, as well. Many, MANY gin and tonics consumed poolside each evening and not even a buzz.

I've found the drinks at Disney to be really good with the pours, in general. Some of the better ones include La Cava - Jalapeno Marg for me, a Lapu Lapu, the Manhattan at California Grill, and at DHS - anything from High Octane Refreshments. Truth in advertising there!

Can't wait to try Trader Sam's on our next trip this Xmas!!

I found the margaritas inside where good. I didn't try one from outside, but I've heard they're quite a bit weaker. I agree with the slushies in france too - quite weak. But the orange grand marnier tasted so good it didn't matter to me!

Am I a heavy drinker? No. But I do drink - a lot less now... but on average, I'll probably have some beers once a week. I could put down 8-10 and you wouldn't even know (I hold my alcohol really well.)

I had a very strong batch of Grand Marnier slushes from France. Even my sister and I, who are drinkers, found them a little strong.

The Tipsy Duck in love has given me a slight buzz. I got it for "brunch" one morning and it woke me up, but gave me a slight buzz.

The strongest drink that's really affected me was the Grain Train at Splitsville. I didn't realize what it was until I ordered and asked the bartender - it's made with grain alcohol. I went back to the room and took a nap. It really put me on my rear end!

Anyway - I usually stick with beers as I'm able to control what and how much I drink. When it comes to mixed drinks, you really don't know. You can go from feeling fine to bad very fast - especially if the bartender has a strong hand. With beer, I know that at 3 or 4, I'm gonna slow down. It's vacation, but it's also Disney.

I was (pleasantly) surprised at the mixed drinks that aren't pre-made. Often you find a punch with no "punch" at a place like Disney. The Food and Wine drinks were not overly strong, but definitely didn't hold back on the alcohol IMO. I found the same at Pop's pool bar.

The Lapu Lapu packs a nice punch. The drinks at TRex weren't too watered down. We'd often grab a drink at the pool bar at POFQ and take it back to the room. If we noticed that the first drink was weak we'd just ask to make the second (and third and possibly a fourth) stronger.

I've found that in general we get a better drink if we are at the bar, not a table. Regarding La Cava, I'd suggest trying to talk a bit with the bartenders if it isn't too busy -they won't be shy. Who knows, you might end up with a sidecar ...or three.

Yes - try the Lapu Lapu! My DH is a big guy and after drinking one he had to go back to the hotel room to lay down.

Oh my. This is the drink I was planning on starting off with on my monorail crawl. Rethinking...

I think it depends on where and what you drink. I have found the La Cava margaritas to be perfect, but the ones from the stand and dockside were weak. Now Lapu Lapu's at the Polynesian can never be called weak.
I was just going to say the Lapu Lapu is one of the strongest drinks I've ever tasted.

My Lapu Lapu was so strong I couldn't drink it without extra juice! But the Margarita Stand and my Pina Colova by the pool were weak! After 2 of the Grey Goose Slushes I didn't feel any different and I couldn't justify the price to keep drinking them! :)

Looking forward to trying the Avacado Margarita next month!

It is fairly strong -I think I would reconsider. I Had two one night and had a good buzz on ...and I'm a pretty good sized guy. If I was doing the crawl I think I'd either save it for last or maybe 3/4 through.
