Am I just a big crybaby or have you ever cried at MK?

Ohhhh - PP....this next trip will be my first time seeing MSEP in YEARS and YEARS........I am pretty much guaranteed to cry.

"Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls....."

Ok - kinda tearing up now.....at work.....at my desk.....lol

LOL! I had that intro as my ringtone for a while, but as my trip approached I had to change it becuase every time my phone rang I started getting choked up in anticipation!!!

I can't get enough of WDW! The only person I know that loves WDW more than me is my mother. Growing up, we lived on a tight budget, so we only went twice, the last time being 25 years ago. Now, since my dad passed away, my mom is on an extremely tight budget and sometimes depends on my sister and I to help when things get too tight.

Well, last December I was able to treat her to a 7 day WDW vacation with us. She hadn't been in about 25 years and, until I told her she was going with us, thought she would never be able to go back.

I cried like a baby twice that trip. First, when we drove under the huge welcome sign on World Drive, and then again when we first saw Cinderella's Castle as we walked down Main Street USA.

It's always magical when I get to take my kids, but to be able to share those moments with my mom when she thought they would never happen again was truly magical!

Oh yeah - the first time I heard that electronic voice again saying "Main Street Electrical Parade" and then those first notes come screaming in - crying like a baby!! The best part is the crowd on Main Street goes CRAZY too! Cheering, hooting and hollering as soon as the announcement ended and the music started, you could hear it all through the park! (We were there in June, so it had only been there for a week or two, maybe it's not as crazy now).

You should know that it is different, though. The floats are updated with new lights, the whole circus section with the Dumbo characters are gone, but at least Pete's Dragon is still there. The music is different too - more electronic and doesn't sound exactly the same - but who's complaining?? I still loved it.

I get teary eyed during the beginning of Wishes when the little girls starts singing "star light star bright" and "I'm sure I will this yr when I see the castle lit with all the Christmas lights :)

Oh and I'll prob cry sad tears when MSEP comes on instead of Spectro :( I LOVE SPECTRO and its music

doesn't matter if it's my only or 3rd trip in a year, i never leave the MK w/o tearing up:guilty: yet no problem with the other disney parks:confused3

I am totally not a crier. Even at funerals, including my Mom's, I tend to be kind of stoic. Not in the got to be strong kind of way... I'm just not a big crier.

We yet to be at Disney ever. We are going in four weeks.

Sometimes I get welled up whenever I see a picture of a child (who I don't know) eating a Mickey Ice Cream bar. Or when I watch a Disney movie with my daughter or see her go crazy in the Disney Store or when her Snow White costume arrived for the MNSSHP...

Let's just say I'm bringing Kleenex, so no, you are not a big crybaby! LOL.

I've teared up watching Wishes with my DD. She always has her dad (me) holding her and it is just emotional. We have been through a lot with my little girl and I think it is just so awesome standing in the Magic Kingdom looking at the castle and seeing all the fireworks. It is so Magical!

Please do not report or repost this thread on the Dis Dad's Club page.... I don't want my Man Card revoked! :lmao::lmao:

I cried when leaving MK on our last night...

And I always cry when the Main Street Electrical Parade music starts. Seriously, I even cry in my car when I hear it....:rolleyes1

I posted this on another thread:

"Last trip, I cried during the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party because of the little kids dancing with the characters. I cried during the Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade. I cried during Wishes. I cried during the High School Musical street party in DHS (cast members selected a young girl in a wheelchair, who I believe was mentally handicapped, to be in the show). I about cried during Festival of the Lion King."

Let me say that I ALWAYS cry during Wishes and the Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade. And sometimes Spectromagic and Fantasmic! Honestly, last trip's cry-meter was about average. ;)

Needless to say, you're not alone.

YES! After waiting an HOUR to meet TinkerBell last Friday (who is one of his abosolute favorites), he was on DH shoudlers for the light p[arade, and when he saw Tinekrbell on the first float he started screaming , literally screaming "LOOK! LOOK! MOMMY DADDY ITS TINKER BELL, LOOK ITS TINKERBELL, HI TINKERBELL, TINKERBELL HI! HI TINKERBELL!" Over and over again, it totally made my eyes start "leaking" he was sooo excited! :goodvibes

Someone mentioned crying on another thread so I thought about asking this.
Went for the 1st time ever last yr, been to Disneyland as a very small child but I cannot even remember it... anyways

Last yr when we went and I first walked into MK, down Main St and saw the castle, I was so overwhelmed w/ happiness and the awe of it all that next thing I know I feel tears down my cheeks. My kids were laughing at me. I felt so embarrased but I just could not stop crying and you know after a while I didn't care. It was just so beautiful, so magical! I felt like I was 5.

You're going to make ME cry now! lol:hug:

The Nemo show at AK really gets my waterworks flowing. Wishes, Fantasmic, the first/last view of the Castle, they get me teary but when Nemo finds his dad....whew:sad:

Dude, I think you were standing by us during the parade. Were you around the area where the Plaza/entrance to Tomorrowland is?

I get teary eyed, but haven't actually cried before. I have to really hold it back during certain moments- Rope Drop ceremony, Wishes, Spectro Parade (haven't seen other night parade yet), even certain rides!

I get teary eyed during Wishes. Wishes is my favorite thing about Disney.

I cry everytime.... EVERYTIME!!! When I see kids so happy to meet their favorite characters, when I see parades, when I think about how I'm so lucky to be there and enjoy my stay... well I am a BIG way BIG cry baby....;)
