Am I imagining things?

I could have sworn I saw SOMEWHERE in all my reading online here and there about WDW that SOMEHOW if you do SOMETHING (darn if I can remember what it was. Annual pass? PAP? stay in a resort? Not sure...) that you can get fastpass entry on the rides without actually getting a fastpass for each ride.
Am I imagining things or is it just that Universal Studios does this for AP'ers and I have confused that somehow with WDW also?

I am serious... I thought I saw that somewhere and I've been hunting for hours and can't find where I saw that info. I'm trying to find it because whatever it is that you have to do to get that benefit- I wanna do it.

Total fiction in my sleep-deprived insanity state or what?

I thought I saw something on the rumors board a few days ago.

There was a question posted on the DVC board about whether DVC members should get a Premium Fastpass perk, which sounds like what you may have seen.

There was some rumor that a PFP was going to be offered to certain individuals if you booked some special package. It was a huge debate on the DVC board because some DVC members felt it was unfair if it could not be offered to them.

I had made the suggestion that Disney have Fastpasses available to on-site guests only & that guests could use their room key/ID to get the pass. (I actually thought this is what Fastpass was going to be when they introduced it)

Someone thought they were going to try this PFP package in Disneyland, so I guess that's how the topic got started.

Anyway, it was moved to the debate board & was a pretty hot topic for awhile, although I haven't gotten any updated posts lately.

Do you think that's what you are referring to?

Disneyland is talking about implementing a program whereby people who buy vacations through Disney will receive an unlimited fastpass. (ie: you don't have to wait for your return window before you can get a fastpass for another ride)

It probably wasn't here that I read it. I can't remember exactly though. But I take it from the comments here that there is no way to get fastpass to the rides without actually doing the fastpass thing.
I tell you what though- if they made it where only resort guests got a free fastpass access card (or something like that- their hotel id card doing it or something) it would probably make me a 100x more likely to stay onsite. LOL

It might have been me reading up a bit on Disneyland the other night also. I didn't read much about it but maybe I saw that and it stuck in my head.

Thanks!
