Oh to have the energy of a teenager watching his team win the National Championship!

I have NO love for UF, but OSU was/is completely overrated.

Seriously, we (FSU) were in a major slump this year, and we lost to UF by a touchdown. The way OSU is playing, we would beat them.

Yes, they were playing Titanic. As best I could tell, they were in the formation of the outline of a ship and slowly "sank" under the blue tarps. Neat effect, I thought. But they also then went into music from Pirates of the Caribbean. I think they were doing a show of blockbuster movie music.

Most good college bands know multiple shows and will perform different shows during the season. The one they play at the bowl is probably the one they do best on out of their available shows.

My son is quite the comedian. He loves Florida but the only shot he could ever have at being a part of the actual Gator team is as the MASCOT, LOL!

I didn't watch halftime so when I saw this post (before it had any replies), I just thought it was a joke about how bad OSU was getting beat. Didn't know it was for real!

For goodness sake... if you have any respect at all for any college marching bands, please watch this.

TBDBITL learns a new show for every home game. The show they performed tonight was Hollywood Blockbusters, and had been performed at the Michigan game, and was honestly the best and most crowd pleasing marching band show I've ever seen... coming from a former band geek. The fans were literally as excited by the halftime show as they were by the game that night.

Tonight, my friends and I were happy that they actually showed a little bit of the band, but the camera crew was obviously clueless, since everything they showed was from the back, and from the front you would never have seen the band members under the tarp, only the final effect. The drill was very detailed and I can't imagine learning it in a week. But they showed no wide angle shots, so you would have no way of knowing that.

But seriously... criticize our football team all you want, they probably deserve it at the moment. But don't mock our band program based on an ironic 30 seconds that was shown, when they're consistently one of the best bands in the country and never have an off night.
