I was just looking over the restaurant section and realized 1900 Park Fare closes at 8:30. Our reservations are for 8:15. I would imagine they will allow us to stay pretty much as long as we want, but I am a bit worried about the food. With it being a buffett, and that close to closing, do you think it will be semi fresh, and will all offerings be available that time of night. It took some convincing to get my husband and son to want to eat here, and I really only want to for the character experience. The food reports have been spotty at best for dinner...are we going to have a problem? Has anyone been there close to closing? What was your experience?

While I have never eaten at that particular restaurant, we have had late ADRs at quite a few of the buffets and have never had a problem with the quality or quantity of food available. You have to consider the huge number of people who dine in these places every night. Food just doesn't hang around for very long before it needs to be replenished:goodvibes.

I can't speak about the dinner at 1900 PF, however, my girlfriend and I love to have one of the last ADR's for the breakfast (usually around 11:20 or so). We have been one of the last 3 or 4 tables to leave and they were still bringing out fresh food from the kitchen, even though it seemed just about everyone was done eating. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

We were there for breakfast, very late..almost to closing, and the food was not good, not fresh and not replenished

Didnt have this experience at Cape May or Chef Mickeys though, we had late seatings for those too

Ugh...this is our last dinner, and I am not sure what to do. I would like to think that everything will be okay, but I am a bit worried. We are doing a breakfast there earlier in the week, but I was really interested in the characters for the dinner too. I guess I should go in thinking it is a character buffett and we should not expect top notch, and focus on the experience rather than the food.

Last December we had something like a 8:25pm or 8:35 reservation (I think they were open until 9pm that night) on a Saturday night. I was worried about the buffet being fresh but it was refilled the entire time, including after closing time.:thumbsup2

There is a wide variety of food choices so everyone found something they thought was tasty.

The characters were great and came around twice, also, the manager came to each table as things were winding down and asked if all the characters had visited.

The food will be fine and you will have a great time with Cindy, her Steps and the Prince.:goodvibes

That is the only way we look at character meals, especially the character dinners. If you go in expecting good food you will more than likely end up somewhat disappointed. If you go in expecting mediocre/sub-par food but a fun experience with the characters you will walk out with a more positive opinion. :thumbsup2
