Where at in MN?
It may be worth it to drive into IA and catch a Allegiant flight, or even another airline.
The bad thing about Allegiant is they only fly in and out of Sanford (for the Orlando area). And you are very resticted on what days they fly.
IF your timing is good, it may be around $130 pp, + or -.
Everyone has given you great advice. Remember at peak time it will be "crazy" you could be waiting an hour or more in line. Don't forget the heat!! When you spend that much money you expect to have an almost perfect time. That is a really tough time to go even for the most experienced Disney travelers
I would seriously think about driving into IA or WI to get a better airfare.
I am doing that right now. we are flying out of Chicago non stop to Orlando.
we are paying 204.00 per ticket and we fly 12/18-26 ( really busy then).
We are staying in chicago for 1 night that cost us 100.00 for room and they keep our car there while we are gone for that same 100.00 Park and fly is what it's called.
if we did not do this we were looking at about 300.00 for EACH ticket from places closer to me ( smaller airports) I am sure you can get something further south and for less then that air fare you have now. I would shop your cities that are within a couple hours of you.
When we come back I have a 2pm flight arrival so when we head home its still light and if there is a delay i will not be coming home at 11pm -atleast I hope not
Please review this for me... it seems like a lot of money to pay for a 5 night stay.. this is for the family suite at all star music, basic dining plan and park hopper passes. We are checking in on March 15, 2008.
the total for my family of 5 is 4038.53 I also have to pay 2,500 for airfare on top of that ammount... Any suggestions to reduce the cost? Thanks so much, this is stressing me out!!!
Seems high to me. But I've never used the dining plan before. The rooms are are about $650 to $750 (right), tickets are about $1,000. Do you expect to spend the rest in food? You might look into room only reservation, buying tickets on your own and budgeting your food allowance. Just a thought.
Hi there, we fly out of MN and my best travel tip to you is to go to hobbittravel.com . You may have to wait till you are 3 months out to book, but they offer BY FAR the lowest rates out of MSP! For example, I had to fly to California last month for a funeral. Went to Expedia/Travelocity $400+, went to SunCountry direct- $345. Hobbit Travel- $235!!!!!!!
Every time we use them it saves us a lot of money! Oh, and we're a family of 5 and we can only do Disney during the slow times (January) because wow! Prices are high! But we love POR! That has been such a treat.
