...Or is Disney giving me wrong information?

I was just told the character breakfasts are at 6:00 am for early seating and 8:30 am for late. Isnt that the last morning breakfast, not character?

I was also told your character breakfast is your first sea day after your rotation dinner in Parrot Cay...I swear Ive read its after your rotation dining in Animators.

Anyone want to confirm or deny?

:wave2: Just wanted to say hi! I wish I could answer but, I can not. You made my eyes pop out of my head, though. If it is at 6 am you can bet I won't be telling my son about it as there is no way we will make that.

You are not crazy. Those are the times for the disembarking morning.

Unless things have changed it was the first sea day after Animator's for us and at like 8:00 or 8:30 (early seating) ... something like that.

Thanks! Of course now Im more confused than ever.

I just requested my dining rotation with the REAS. We had booked Palo and the spa on line. I wanted a morning spa appointment, and going on the info I thought I knew I booked the massage for Monday morning, the least likely day we would have a character breakfast. Now Im being told we will have the character breakfast on Monday...but its ok because our late dining breakfast is at 8:30 and our massage is at 10:30. ACK! I thought I had this all figured out and now this!

How long does the character breakfast last? I know I will be pushing it with a 10:30 spa appointment...plus having to drop the kids off at the club on the way. Hmmm???

hi there, CamColt!! good to see you! so is this correct? that late character breakfast is 8:30? omg! that means we have to get up at 5, just to go eat at 6? i thought we're on vacation! i really wish i know my rotations for dinner, cuz it seems like that's what we all need to know so we can plan & book everything else! ugghh!!! i hate this "not knowing". at least, you've got your REAS, so you can kinda plan/book!

you have to post all the info you know back in our cruise meet thread! see you there! :flower:

NO! NO! NO! :) The early seating is at 8:15. The late seating is at 9:45. The whole thing takes about an hour for all of the characters to make their rounds to all the tables.

IMHO you will be rushing WAY too much....It does take about an hour for the breakfast, it is fun if it is your first time...No way will the kids want to take off early...Depending on where you are sitting, and how fast the characters come by your table, you may make it, but I would make it about 30 min later if at all possible...

:)

So if I go on the information here, the day we have our massage wont be our character breakfast day, but if I go by the info from Disney it will be that day(but early enough, LOL). And this is all provided we do get the rotation we requested, LOL! UGH!
Since I know she got the times wrong I guess I should go with the theory that she got the days wrong too.

CamColt, are you booked for late dinner seating? And what are the ages of your children?

The reason I'm asking..

In May 2004, we had late dinner seating & our character breakfast was 9:45. We'd done character meals at WDW before, and our 9 year-old DD did not enjoy this character meal as much, as it's a little 'rushed.' Don't get me wrong! (No flames please.) I guess I'm actually saying this for all those out their who have 'older' children..if you've done a character meal at WDW before, you've seen the best! :earsgirl: If you have older (teenage?) kids who'd rather sleep in, have breakfast at Topsiders and enjoy a leisurely morning.

There's so much to do on DCL that it's sometimes hard to coordinate schedules. Is there anyway for you to reschedule your spa appt if you don't want to miss your character breakfast?

Decisions, decisions. :rotfl2:

Yes we have late seating and our kids are 5 & 8. Ok, Ill admit...im probably more interested in the character breakfast than they are, LOL! ;)

I could still reschedule as we arent sailing until August, but Im afraid to do that becaue Im assuming everyone here is right and the woman with the REAS department was wrong. You know its bad when I trust a bunch of strangers over a Disney CM, but we usually do know more than they do. If we are all right, then Im pretty much ok (just taking the slight chance I thought I was), but if the info she gave me is right, its more likely I will have a conflict.

Same here. :rotfl: I was waking DH and DD, "Hurry, we don't want to miss the character breakfast.' :earsgirl:

That will be one more reason why I might be glad we have late seating this time. I really didn't realize that they had two different times for this breakfast but it only makes sense that they do [ just hadn't thought alot about it.] 9:45 will be much better then 8:15 my family might actually be able to make that time. There is just so much to do during these cruises that my DH is always telling me to pace myself. On last years cruise I do remember that our character breakfast came the morning after our first dinner in animators. Can't wait till June 25 west coast cruise! :goodvibes
