Really long story short - I've been going through A LOT of health related problems with my older brother lately. In addition to working two jobs, I've been juggling surgeries and doctor appts for the last few months. Things are finally settling down, but I am still super stressed. I have the opportunity for my son and I to take a short trip to Universal in November from the 10th to the 14th. We'd be arriving just before midnight on the 10th and leaving about 5:00 am on the 14th. So that would leave 3 full days in the parks. We have APs so that's not a cost. Airfare and 4 nights at CB will run $920 plus I'd guess about $250 for food. Am I crazy to spend that for three days? We can afford it, and I really need it, but the budget minded me is having trouble pulling the trigger. Talk me into it, friends!

Oh bless!!

You’ve gone through a really rough time........

Stress can be almost worse than anything........get you and your lovely boy down for a trip.......you’ll love it, both have a wonderful time.

You have the budget........go for it! I’ve had people comment to me we’re silly to spend what we do (none of their darn business) but our trips mean everything to us.........honestly, sounds like you really, really need this trip.....

Plenty of time to be budget conscious.........pull that trigger and go..........:thumbsup2

Thank you all so much for the encouragement! I just booked our airfare and reserved CB. I'm so looking forward to this - it will be different with no express pass, but we're going back for a longer trip in Feb. So this trip we'll just do what we can and enjoy the time away :thumbsup2

Make plans and don't look back.

There are times in our lives that getting out of your everyday environment is a necessity.

I can tell you from personal experiences, getting away from your home for even two days and not have a care in the world, is a priority.

You have a great time !

We won't expect a postcard from you since it will be a quick trip.
