am i crazy to do MK the sat of the celebration

Ok everyone, I was just thinking of something. Would I be totally crazy to do MK the first Sat of the Celebration?? I mean I have 5 other days I could do it! Would AK be better on that sat? I mean it is the park with the least amount of Cermoney activity??
Please give me some advice if ya can!!!

I would think it's going to be nuts, especially with the press and everything. We usually do AK on Saturday's in general because the other parks are so busy on the weekends (not that AK is not, just seems to be less).

I hope it won't be crazy because that is when we are going.
Maybe press will be there 5th and 6th and doing other parks the 7th.
And everybody lucky enough to live nearby knows they have 18 months of celebration.

Well, even Epcot is closing at 3pm on May 5th for press events. My judgement is it's going to be nuts.

I don't think you're crazy, but then again I'll be in the MK on the 5th itself!

I look at it this way... Since I have been to WDW quite a few times now (as I notice you have too), I have done the vast majority of the rides & shows several times already. With this in mind I will not be to bothered by the queues for rides etc.

I love the uniqueness of these types of events (such as Christmas & New Year) so wouldn't want to miss anything that will be so special.

However whether it will be anymore *special* for the regular person (like me) as opposed to the day before or day after for example remains to be seen! Maybe all the special stuff will be for press only? I wonder if anyone who has been on such a day before has any insight into this (I don't mean to hijack your thread nkkilala)

MK is crazy busy on a Saturday at the best of times. I would go another day since you have the option.
