Am I Crazy for Thinking of Getting a Second Owner's Locker?

For any OL owners, what would you say is the benefit of having one now that they have easy grocery delivery? We get Walmart+ for free so we get free grocery delivery and have been using that for a few things the first day of our trip.

What things are you keeping in an owners locker that you either can't get delivered or can't easily bring with you? Now that we are going a lot I'm trying to figure out if we may want one
We do a small grocery deliver each trip, too (water, fruit, yogurt, protein shakes) But for us it’s about not wanting to buy certain things every trip and taking up luggage space. We don’t love the shampoo and conditioner at the resorts so we bought regular sized bottles of our favorites and left them. MEDS lol someone always has a cold or a headache or blisters or stomach issues. Fans, park bags, sanitizer, pool/room sandals, sunblock, toothpaste/brushes, some skincare/vanity products, extra contacts/solution, ponchos, UV umbrellas (such an underrated necessity), lots and lots of chargers/power strip for all the fans and phones and magic bands, magic bands, detergent pods, a good hairdryer, hair towels. Now we have some clean clothes, a room fan (for air movement and white noise), and a ton of Minnie ears,…anyway we like things lol, if you’re more rational, less burdened people (or just don’t mind just bringing every time/don’t have a lot of WDW must-haves), it may not be necessary😅

I’ve also had some shorter trips where we didn’t have our OLs delivered and I missed my stuff but we only have the moderate plan and don’t think it’s necessarily worth getting them for all our shorter trips…we’ll see how that pans out over time though.

What you put in your OL is your business but they specifically do not recommend storing food in them - life happens and you may not make it back to Orlando when you expect, and you don't want your food to spoil.

It makes traveling to WDW so much easier. I can do carry on only even with my kids. My kids insist on their own suitcases even though I could get all of their stuff in one. We don’t check bags for the trip down even if flying on SW, but we are flying Delta more and they charge to check bags. I also don’t like leaving behind full size toiletries or sunscreen

Here’s what I currently have:
aluminum foil
baby wipes
Babyganics sunscreen lotion
Babyganics sunscreen spray
Benedryl
body lotion
bowls
Brita filter
Brtia pitcher
conditioner
cooling towels
disposable ponchos
dryer sheets
foldable hampers
gallon ziplocs
hair brush
hair comb
ipad charging cord
iphone charging cord
laundry tabs
Loungefly 50th canvas bag
magic band+ chargers
magic band2
Marpac Dohm white noise machine
Misting fans x2
MP flavor enhancer - orange tangerine
MP flavor enhancer - strawberry lemonade
nail clippers
notepads
pens
ponytail holders
Popcorn bucket
post-it notes
quart ziplocs
scissors
shampoo
surgical masks
Tylenol
USB wall adapters x2
usb-c wall adapter
waterproof phone case
Winnie the pooh card holder
zyrtec

In addition to many items already mentioned, particularly full size shampoo and body wash, we keep a good nonstick skillet and a set of sharp knives in our OL. And scissors!

Thanks for the answers! Feels like it may be worth it, especially if we start doing more 1br and 2br and actually cook more while we are there.

So in keeping with the enabling aspect of these boards . . . we have four; one for bedding and blankets (always cold in AC,) one for my DH's WDW wardrobe (he doesn't wear Mickey gear anywhere else,) one for kitchen/snack/cooking stuff and insulated cups for margaritas poolside, etc., and one for spare pajamas, strapless bra, water socks, flip flops, regular socks, water sneakers for rainstorms, good Disney ponchos, magic bands, toiletries, OTC meds, and all our ridiculous charging hubs for all the crap.

Lockers save me zero money but make my trip sooooo much more enjoyable not having to remember all the things.

We have 3 Owners Lockers and love them! Never have to pack much so our trips are easy.

We just added our 2nd locker on this past trip. It was well worth it and holds all our kitchen things for when we stay in a 1 bedroom. Our other locker holds everything else. I say go for it. This past trip was nice that no one had to sit on the one locker to get it shut.

At one point in time we had three lockers.
One was strictly decorations for Halloween, Christmas, plus a DVC blanket to throw over the lockers while in the room to make a decorative shelf.
Second was full of toiletries, including laundry supplies.
Third was clothes… everything from socks to shirts.

We had it structured so we never had to pack. We left with the clothes on our back.
That said, every trip we did have to hit the Walmart to replenish some things.

Worked very well.

No packing sounds lovely…almost like…a vacation?!

From the opposite perspective, I have yet to use my OL.

I keep cancelling my first delivery, thinking I'll just get it next time.

I'm sure once I break the seal, I'll come up with all sorts of necessities I need stored in it :)

I agree with everyone else, its hard to not have a second one for all of the mouse-cellaneous stuff. I know my 1st one is full of general supplies for the suite. My second is the might need depending on what I'm doing. (Mostly golf stuff, shoes, socks, gloves, hats some extra clothing.) I'm trying to figure out if I should do the golfclub storage. Yes I have an extra set, it was my go to set before the new ones and just couldn't part with it and its also my airline travel set. So not lugging it around would be so much nicer.

In the end only you can decide on how many you need. :D Good luck.

Sounds like you are super organized!! Although saving money is important, if you get value/pleasurer out of your purchase, it can be well worth it.

Like others, we have two. Our first one has all of the "household" and miscellaneous stuff you typically hear about (sunscreen, toiletries, hair dryer, Brita pitcher, etc.). Our second one has more bulky stuff like umbrellas, hats, ponchos, new home for the Brita, a couple of hoodies, pool towels, cooling towels, electric kettle, bullet blender, etc.

This is the old inventory before we got the second locker, so some of it has been moved and other stuff added:

We got our first one in 2009 and it took until 2023 to get a second.

The second one only holds kitchen things (we cook in most nights) and the twin aerobed. We have been doing two trips a year and the second one is a couples weekend in a studio so we don't get the kitchen box delivered. The twin aerobed is for when we're low on pts and in a 1br that doesn't have two sleeping areas in the living room (BWV).

Two locker family here, as well. One locker contains all the gadgets, gizmos, and stuff just like everyone else. The second locker holds clothes.
