Am I crazy for even considering 2 vacations this close together?

Go for it. We do it all the time. We go to FL in June and 5 weeks later in August. I just joke and say " we are spending the summer in FL with a trip to DC in the middle ". Don't tell people is an option also. Or if you do , don't care what they say. I did not tell most people of my recent spring break trip and it was better that way.

We are doing Wisconsin in 88 days for 1 week. Flights are 800. Hotel is 700 and car rental is 400. That doesn't include expenses. Then 188 from today we are doing WL for 7 days, so yes 100 days before the start of each location but we also decreased our bills each month this year by 1400.00 so I say never too close to have vacations

I was that person last year! I was in Disney for 12 nights in January. Then I was back again for 6 nights in March, followed by 5 nights in May and then 13 nights in June. I was only home for 10 days when I was flying back down to Disney again for 4 more nights. Then I went on the Fantasy for a week in October and we spent 3 nights in Florida prior to the cruise. And around all of this from May on, I spent several 3/4 night time frames at the beach with my husband because that is where they had sent him to work. I felt like I was always packing to go somewhere. And I truly did not put the suitcases away for the better part of the year! I did get some interesting comments but I let it be that person's issue...not mine. :)

Depends... I love to travel, I mean love. I have trips planned into 2018. For the first time we decided to travel over my birthday (late Jan) after having been in Hawaii over the holiday break. I was BEYOND excited. We went to Hawaii, had a fabulous time and came home exhausted. Then we had to turn around two weeks later for WDW & DCL, repack, take more long flights, and go go go go go again! We hadn't had time to properly recharge, unpack, play with our pets, etc before we had to go again. I think it did put a damper on the vacation since we weren't SO ready to GO this time. I was already relaxed and happy, so was a little miffed we were spending more money right away rather than wait until we felt like we needed it. I know I know... I'm a weirdo! :rotfl:

OP here-- Thanks for the input. I knew I could count on my Disney internet friends to nudge me in the direction of going :thumbsup2!! My parents will be with us for the Thanksgiving trip, so that takes care of one holiday with the family. We would be missing Christmas with them, though, so that it definitely something to consider. Also, packing up Santa will be kind of a pain. The thing that worries me the most is to be gone so much during such a busy time. I will really have to be on top of Christmas shopping this year if we decide to try and do both trips. Still considering it, though.
