Hi Ladies- I am getting married on 9/28- (45 days away) here in Jersey with a DisneyMoon at the Wilderness Lodge for 2 weeks!!!

At the end of July we sent out our invitations and right away got about a third of them back with responses. We now have exactly 2 weeks until the due date for our responses and we seem to have hit a lull. We haven't gotten any in in 3 days! We still have two thirds out there. My fiance suggested sending out a reminder to people we are close with. I'm not sure if I want to do that yet- I don't want to be too pushy. Is this normal? Do that many people really wait until "last minute" to send in their RSVP? I always send mine back so quickly but then again I'm definitely a type A. Is it tacky to remind people to send them back?

Thanks in advance for any advice on this!

I wouldn't send out reminders.......however say your deadline for figuring out a head count is in 20 days I would start calling people in 10 days and asking them if they will be attending or not. Hope that helps!

Our deadline was last friday for our 9/1 wedding. What I did was let people know who was outstanding.. for example.. I told my dad about his brothers and friends so when he talked to them he made a gentle reminder. We also had peaks and valleys with our responses but but making people responsible for "their" people we were only short about 20 when our final date came around.. Now have started to call people myself as it is after our date.

I feel you pain though.. I cannot do table settings or finalze stuff till I know who is coming..

My wedding date was 9/28/02 in NJ too! :goodvibes

I had my rsvp date for September 7th for my 9/28 date and didn't get them all in on time. I just called the 20 or so late responders to remind them and got most in. I'd give it a bit more time and no, it isn't tacky to remind them- alot of people just didn't get around to it and of course we had some that were like "you know we are coming, don't worry about the response card".

Hello?! It is why I have a stamp and everything on it for you! Do you want me to pick out what you are eating?

Happy planning- you will have a great day!
