Okay, now you went too far in talking about getting tax money back. I work over 70 hours a week at a good-paying job. As does my husband. We have EXTRA money taken out each paycheck for taxes and we still pay every April. We don't have kids to write off, see.

So, when you are in WDW, please have the balls to at least write me a proper thank you card.

Thank you I am truly trying (and probably accomplished with this raise) I am almost off. Well my Oldest DD's father is in jail and I keep her in sports and in positive activities (which I pay for also). My 2 younger kids (DS an DD) have the dad on herion, I also keep them busyand my baby will be starting dance classes soon. I truly work hard and struggle and it can get hard to let that extra stuff go, but I did it before and I will do it again. Thanks again hentob. And I understand the tax thing, trust me my aunt and uncle pay taxes and WOW . I just have always been the favorite and they spoil me with disney trips and you guys should understand why I am not going to ague with that . Love the pixie dust. I feel better now.

I wish you the best of luck on continuing to improve your situation. I hope when you are on your feet again you will find a way to show your relatives how much you appreciate their assistance. It's always nice to have family who can help out.

Have you ever thought of getting a teaching certificate or degree? If you already have four years of college it might not require that much more training. That way you could continue to do something you love, but get paid more for it.

To be fair, she does pay taxes. She pays social security and medicare taxes. Sales taxes. Possibly car tabs (taxes). There are taxes attached to her phone bill and electric bill. And, in the end, she gets all the income tax she paid in back, and probably most of the rest.

She's going to have a hard time getting sympathy from me, who gets hit with AMT every year and like Handbag Lady, have extra taken out and still pay in. If the government owes me in proportion to what I put in, I'm staying in a suite at the Grand Floridian for a month!

I have no interest in that hotel, I like POP so that's what I do. I stay of site to shop and do universal and for more space. I like the way I plan my trip and I'm not breaking anyone pocket. You do have a point. She does pay some taxes, but that is not what she gets in income taxes in Jan/Feb. My the year my 1st child was born, I was so excited! I got a tax deduction! But it all went horribly wrong! We were up to our eyeballs in debt and had to take out a loan to pay the federal income taxes we owed. We have gotten taken our deductions down to an art and usually come out even with the govt.

I would work 7 days a week but can't. I also did the 3 job thing but I had no time with my children and then when my mom died I had to do it ALL myself. This job also gurantees no weekends which I need since I do not have anyone to watch them.

I am going to a college here that combine my work experience and my credits from when I attended before. I also get more credit if I finish my CDA (child development associate) which is an associates in childcare without going to college. I did go to school for a year for this too. My boss is the city councilman of our city and he's always saying we don't have funds for raises. I want to leave, I'm trying to leave but I need to make a etter step. I'm trying to get into Headstart. The pay more and they have scholorships for school. I'm hoping to go there in the end of August.

I work non profit and it gets to me all the time- I have families come in and need food- We are not set up to be a grocery store but to be a help in times of things like: a single mom lost her job or dad who is the only one working get sick, misses a few days and the paycheck doesn't cover food-
There are two type of people who come in
1. the family who comes in and is really bothered by the fact they need help, the ones who say thank you and please, the ones who take what we can give them and never complain but are thankful.

2. The family who comes in and complains about what is offered, the family who comes in and asks if they can pick what they want, the family who comes in and after being told we can't help you again, sends in another family member to get food. The family who lies about dad being dead or in jail when you go out and see mom and dad together driving a car I couldn't afford. or mom whips out a cell phone I can only dream of- and her nails are done and hair is colored and her jeans aren't from goodwill.

I used to be very open hearted and learned quickly that there are so many that cheat and it's wrong- it keeps people who are really in need from getting help.I try not to be judgemental and understand that things can go wrong fast in a family- one day you can be on top and tomorrow you can lose everything.
What really made me open my eyes was the lady who came in with an O2 tank and could hardly walk- we kept giving her groceries for her and her grandkids cause daddy run off and mom was in jail. well 3 days later i was in the store and she had her EBT card out and was buying stuff like steak and shrimp, cake and all kinds of stuff- her basket was full of expensive foods....
and she was walking just fine with no O2...opened my eyes fast..

My family and I live near Disney and we have AP's but I sell stuff on Ebay and Hubby works side jobs so we can afford AP's & to drive over for the day. and if we do stay we stay in a value- we have stayed in deluxe and mods but we go value so we can go a lot.
Sorry this is so long- it just gets to me that there are those who take advantage or Work the system make others who are in need go without.

Your reply makes absolutely no sense. I'm sorry, but even after reading it twice, I can't see it. You say they pay for it, then you aske why you would stay there on their money. That just makes no sense. I'm sorry. Maybe I'm reading wrong?

Maybe we can get together and you can teach me a thing or two, so DH can get a job he truely enjoys. I can quit work, we can get food stamps and my kids can get to do more activities then they do now at a fraction of what I pay.
