Am I allowed to request an extra set of bed sheets?

We will be at OKW in a little over a week (hurray!!). We will have 7 people staying in our 2BR. This means we would have to pull out the sofa bed every night to let one of my DD's sleep on it. This is fine, but I thought it might be more convenient not to have to do this every night. I was thinking about taking one of those automatic air mattresses & just putting it in the 2nd BR.

Would I be allowed to request extra sheets for this mattress or will they automatically think I am trying to sneak more people into the unit than are allowed? (which I am not, for those of you that are skeptical:eek: )

Thanks for your responses. :D

I don't think they will give you extra sheets, why not just bring a set?

We always bring an aero bed but also bring our own sheets for it. It would be best to do that anyways so that you will have a fitted sheet for it. The regular (unfitted) sheets from Disney would keep getting untucked and would end up really uncomfortable.

The policy seems to be that no extra bedding is provided. If you aren't going to be using the sofa bed, you could take the linens off that bed and use them on the air mattress. But if you have sheets that fit, it's probably best to just bring them along.

I too take my own sheets when we need the Aerobed, they fit in the travel bag that is provided with the mattress.

To answer your question, yes, you are allowed to request extra bed linens. Just don't hold high hopes of getting them. :teeth:

I seem to remember the bed linens for the pull out being in the master closet. I would just use those.

Thanks - I never considered the fact that they don't have fitted sheets. :o I guess I'll just bring my own.

I know there are pillows & a blanket in the closet. Not sure about a sheet.

If there's no sheets in the closet, and you're not going to use the sofa bed, then just remove the sheets from the sofa bed and use them for your air mattress. You can easily fold them up at night.

Then when your vacation is over, just put those used sheets on the sofa. Housekeeping will be pleased that you 'stripped' the sofa bed for them already and will know it needs clean sheets for the next guest.

I would pack my own sheets as they are not fitted sheets anyway. In fact I am considering doing that next year for all the beds; because, I hate waking up and seeing the bottom sheet out of place. Just grosses me out.

You could always remove the bed from the sofa and place it in the 2nd bedroom for your stay as well to save packing space. Just an idea :)

We had a complete set of extra linens - including sheets - in our closet.

It temped me to call around and see if I could find four more friends to camp out on the floor :p

Right after I hung the beach towels to dry over the balcony and set the trash and room service trays in the hall. :hyper:

(The extra blanket we made use of - my kids were fighting over the blanket.)

Crisi - I bet you were the ones also going out to the pool at 5:00am to save all those chairs that you didn't use until 3:00pm!!!;) ;) :guilty: :scratchin :rotfl: :rotfl:

What does the inventory in the closet consist of besides sheets? Are there more than one pillow and blanket? Thinking about bringing an Areo bed just so two teenagers don’t have to share the pullout sofa…it never has works out. Our plans would be to bring fitted sheets but have a question on if we have to also pack a pillow and blanket.

You will have one blanket for the fold out bed and two pillows.

Use the chairs! Heavens, no! We just saved them every day. But on our way back up to the room at 9:00 we picked the pool towels back up from the chairs and used them because we don't want to pay for extra towels and didn't want to bother doing laundry.

We had two flat sheets (plus 2 on the hideabed) Two pillows (none on the hideabed, but plenty of couch pillows if you aren't a picky pillow person - my husband is so we had extra pillows, as he brought his from home). Two blankets, both in the closet, none on the hideabed. This was our first DVC trip and I'm not sure if this was standard inventory, or someone left an extra set of sheets in the room.

Personally, I'd be tempted to bring a sleeping bag and a cheap air mattress for the right aged kids. Don't have to mess with making a bed or dealing with a aerobed. Don't pull out the hideabed and have one camp on the couch and the other on the floor. Teenagers can sleep anywhere (says someone who spent a year in a dorm bed, a few weeks with two of us in a twin bed, two years on a twenty year old hideabed, three years on a bad futon, two years on a mattress so old it had buttons (and you could feel them, and countless nights on friends couches - and now has a Select Comfort mattress and complains about the lumps in Disney's mattresses. Apparently I wasn't Princess and the pea material)
