Am I about to be hoodwinked into a presentation?

I am an RCI member staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek this week on an exchange. When I checked in I turned down the usual offering for a resort credit and free stay if I attended an update. This morning a call came in just before we left for AK. The screen said QSM so I answered thinking they were checking if the replacement toaster from yesterday kwas working. It wasn't apparently I won a free 3 night stay in a random drawing. I said no that I didn't want to have to attend a presentation and I was assured there was no presentation. I am supposed to go pick up the certificate tomorrow but am unsure if I am going to regret it.

Has anyone every come across this on their visits?

Ay thoughts?

Cheers

Yeah, it's a lure into a presentation. The three-day stay is "free" at a nearby hotel (NOT WBC) and that will obligate you to attend a presentation.

When you refuse they may ask you to "fill out a survey." That's also an intro to a presentation.

Anything they ask you to do leads to a presentation. The only reason they have to talk to you is to sell you something.
