Hello All My Dining Friends -

After all this about children behaving in restaurants, and no Le Cellier, and spreading out credits and my feelings on sharing and policy vs. practice...(this is the "am I a jerk part..):guilty:

Now I have to change all my ADR's - 2 weeks pre-trip!!!!

DS(14) my Asperger's boy - - will have to accompany DD and I. His childcare arrangements have fallen thru, thereby changing the mood and plans for the trip, but that will be another thread!!!. There's only 2 now in the room and he can be added with FDP for whatever the $ amount is - not much - I had checked months ago.

But NOW - precious few ADR's left. He's eating like the man he is now - polished off a whole marinated steak last night. So he will have his 6 TS credits, too - total of 18 TS. Definitely have to drop one of the Signature restaurant ressies now. Which one?? AP??

Have the following ADR's currently:
9/24 - Boatwright's - staying at POR - maybe we should do CS this nite...??
9/25 - H&V - FDP
9/26 - Biergarten
9/27 - CG
9/28 - AP
9/29 - LTT - MNSSHP

Then I have been reading the actual reports of how people have been using credits with full-sized teenaged people at the table - like I will have now - and again - I feel silly - sharing, splitting...OOP, extra tips....just not my style to share - and never at a signature restaurant. Appys, desserts, yes. Maybe. If my son LETS me touch his food!!!

Any ideas? Comments - besides sending me a copy of the adult beverages lists????????? :yay:

If I had to choose between CG and AP it would be no contest: I'd keep Artist Point. It is consistently the best meal at WDW.

I would drop boatwrights and eat counter service that night - and how attached are you to the Biergarten?

Those are the two I would drop and keep both CG and AP since you really seem to want to do those.

Of course, you could always pay oop for Biergarten - I don't know if that is in your budget?

I feel your pain. Our ds has autism and we have not made a single dinner ressie becaue he can't wait so long for our dinner to arrive and check. So lunch it is and mostly Charater meals. So we don't get a dinner for our TS but we do get a meal served and we can just pray for the best.

Sorry your care plans fell through. If I were there I would watch your DS. He and my DS would have a blast together.

Good luck.

thank you all, and especially:love: tacomaranch. I did meet up with a similar mom and son a few years ago in MGM and wow! what an awesome time we had!!!

DS will be fine - he knows what the deal is and what to do. Now if I can work on the touring plans since he's limited by his spinal fusion 3 months ago! He will DEFINITELY be looking forward to each TS!!!!!

I might have missed something and if so I am sorry. But why can't you just add him to the ADRs that you already have? Wouldn't he get as many dining credits as everyone else? I am confused. Also if he is a big eater and has trouble waiting maybe pack him some snacks along that he can munch on. I think if he is prepared for everything that is going to happen he should be okay.

I'm the nutso who had been calling Dining everyday to try to switch me and DD into LeCellier. With the restaurants all jammed up with ADR's - I'm afraid they will tell me they can't accomodate 3.

Of course he will have his own credits and I am positive he will have enough to eat. The difference is that while I would consider sharing with DD, my petite little 10 year old, I wouldn't share to save credits with DS, not only because he will likely eat his own appy, entree and dessert - :teeth: , but because he's adult-sized. Though I know people do it, it's just not me.

I also am not inclined to take DS to some of the Signature Restaurants, though from what I have seen on these boards, on his WORST day he's very well behaved by comparision to many. And heck, it's "FREE"!!!! He loves the environment of upscale dining - it's his food issues and Asperger's that worry me a bit.

Sorry to hear your son’s care plans fell through, but I hope you have a great time anyway. My DD8 is low-functioning autistic and I know having your son along changes more of your plans than just meals. I hope you all have a fabulous time. :cheer2:

AP is my least favorite of the signature restaurants, so I would keep CG.
