Ok, I've got 2 quick questions and can't find what I need on the website.
Do the ticket booths accept American Express? I'm assuming yes but I haven't been to the booths in ages so don't remember.

And second, has anyone eaten at the Anaheim White House? Reviews??

Pixie, what are you getting at the ticket booths???

Bumber, I have the chance to trade some points for AmEx gift cards, DBF and I were thinking about saving them for our May trip for my b-day and getting the girls AP's then. That way we can use the AmEx cards instead of cash. :) FREE AP's are the best! LOL I would do that with ours but since I already bought them I'll just do it with the girls. My b-day is on Mem. Day (your DS's is right after mine :) ) this year so we are considering upgrading our Deluxes to Premium and getting the girls Premiums, buying them on Sunday the 24th so they can get in without paying for black out passes or upgrades. Does that make sense?

Thanks DW2DH&DS

You might want to check out IndyBride's Wedding planning journal - she was having her rehearsal dinner at the Anaheim White House.

The Anaheim White House is an excellent restaurant. They have Italian food there, and are a "fancy" restaurant. The food is very good and the atmosphere is beautiful. One of the best independent restaurants in Anaheim.

They are also often on the news for their good works. On Valentines Day, they invited couples celebrating their 75th wedding anniversaries to a free luncheon. They also make dinner for the Boys and Girls Club. They are "good people". :goodvibes

Thank You Snow, that is even better. They have gift certificates listed on restaurant.com and rest.com is having an 80% off sale. I was thinking about getting a certificate for a nice dinner while we are there. :)

and was wondering, how far from DLR is the Anaheim White House? We will be w/o a car, so would have to take a taxi if we decided to try it.

Thanks Nancy, we will be driving down so that won't be an issue for us.

Scanmom, that shouldn't be too bad taxi wise. :)

Its straight down Ball to Anaheim, then down a couple blocks. Maybe 10 minutes door to door, but most likely a lot less.

I tried the restaurant out my last trip to Disneyland (july). It seems like SO long ago! I told the restaurant we were testing it out for our rehearsal dinner and they were so accomadating. They let us look at all the different rooms available. The food was yummy and the service was good. Except the drink I wanted they didn't have the type of liquor (limoncello) and we waited a while before they came and told us. But they made me a yummy one with grand marnier that wasn't on the drink menu so I didn't think much of it. The link to my planning journal will provide with some pictures of it the restaurant if you want. Hope you have a great trip!

Thank You, I will definitely check it out when I get home tonight!! :goodvibes

My PJ is a beast. Literally it's over 30 pages long. I just copied and pasted my post about the restaurant so you don't have to kill yourself looking for it.

So, we head to the Hotel and I am very sad at this point because I realize my trip is almost over. We get into a cab and head over to the restaurant. On the way there I start to get nervous because it doesn't look like an area with a GREAT restaurant. But once we get there the inside was very nice! We got the latest lunch reservation that we could so when we got there it was a little quiet. Which was good because that meant I could take pics!!

The service was really great! Our server was very personable and noticed we had been at DL all day. He then spoke to us about all the new rides and the short wait he had for Toy Story. DL doesn't have a FP for Toy Story so some people are waiting like 4 hours for it. :3dglasses

Anyhow, we order our drinks and get to looking at the menu. It looks fabulous and I'm hungry again! (Believe it or not!) Here's a pic of all our food. The presentation was done very well!!

This is the caesar salad and Dan's Salmon.

We had a delicious Grand Marnier Souffle for dessert and it was FABULOUS!!! After that it was back to the hotel and we all fell asleep outside by the fireplace for an hour before we had to get to the airport. I'm still sad we had to leave and we were so busy I feel like we weren't even there. Normally we relax by the pool a lot which we couldn't do once.

But, I feel like we got a ton of stuff done for the wedding. Of course when we got back I was so happy to see my doggy and kitties and sleep in my own bed!!

Your post here just made me decide to take him to this restaurant on his trip!! Thank YOU so much!!!!!!!!! That salmon looks amazing! :) Do you have to make a ressie or is it just recommended? Also, is there a dress code? I guess I need to call them and ask myself. LOL Thank YOU so much! :)

Hey for anyone who wants to go to the Anaheim Whitehouse, the website www.restaurant.com has a special right now with 80% off of their gift certificates for various restaurants, so a $25 certificate costs you $10. I got some other ones, but since this thread is talking about the Anaheim Whitehouse. :)
