always done BC -- try out WL??

So we have always stayed at the EPCOT resorts - mostly BC, but the swan a few times. However, we are thinking of taking a quick trip in May and are considering doing the WL since it's a quick last minute trip and we thought we could try something different. I'm afraid we'll be really disappointed. We have a 4 and 2 year old and they LOVE SAB. we also like being able to walk to EPCOT and not being forced onto Disney Transportation if not needed. I need some opinions -- can we do this Where are you WL lovers?? sell me!

From a WL freak, I have to tell you, I convinced my dear friend to go to the WL on her recent quick trip. She frequents BC and called me from Disney with her dh in the background telling me that they didnt like it. They didnt like the theming and they were very disappointed in the room size(their dd is only 1 and napped during the day) and they also are Epcot area fans. My family loves WL. We go every year, sometimes twice a year if we can swing it. My children both 12 love it there, they hate when I make them stay elsewhere. We love the theme, bunkbeds, all under one roof, the boat to the MK. But after recommending a BC fan to WL, and seeing their disappointment, I am not sure I can make that same recommendation again. Maybe you should consider a monorail resort, which have bigger rooms.

This Aug Im ready to try the Beach Club
We usually stay at the Wilderness Lodge. DS13 wants to go back to the Lodge.
So we're staying a wk at each!

Having stayed at both, I'd say stick with the BC or maybe try another monorail resort. While there are things I like about the WL, it is a vastly different experience than the BC. The rooms are small & dark, it's the least convienent of the MK resorts. The pool is much, much smaller than SAB. The level of service just doesn't compare....
I found the GF comparable to the BC. You get the same light, airy feel. The same level (or better) of service, the rooms are spacious, the pools are both very nice, the transportation is convienent......

BC was an easy choice for my favorite resort until I tried GF. Now it's a tie.
