I have always been a little bit OCD when it comes to double checking my childs medds after we get them from the pharmacy, but yesterday it may have saved his life. Our pharmacy ( like almost all of them) puts a label on the bottel that tells you what the medicine should look like. In this case the pills should have had a 5 on one side ( for 5mg) and I noticed that this time it had a 10. Other than that one number the pills look the same as always. This is a very strong med that can surpress his heart and lungs and the 5mg is pushing his limit so can you imagine what might have happened if I had not noticed and started giving him twice his dose.
Ok, that was my vent on the subject and now for the PSA. Please check you meds. As much I as trust the pharmacy staff, they are people too and they do make mistakes.
