Right now we are reserved at French Quarter (never stayed there but stayed at Riverside) for Easter break but would love to save money. CBR would be cheaper even with King bed option which is all they have available, the resort is booked other than that option. Never stayed there but scared that it will feel really crowded being that it is almost at capacity, any thoughts?

The other one is CSR - have stayed there loved it, price wise in the middle of the two above but worried about construction. We haven't been on vacation in 6 years so we want to relax at the resort.

Like I said, trying to save money where we can because prices are already elevated because it is Easter break.

What is anyone's thoughts on this?

I would keep French Quarter. It is our favorite resort after the deluxes. It never feels crowded.

I personally don't care for CBR - too spread out. Glad to hear about the re-development plan - maybe that will make it more appealing.

I do like CSR - and if you are talking about a lot of money - that may be worth the switch. BUT - what's the total price difference and is it worth it?

I stay POFQ for the first time last trip - and it was REALLY quiet. Pool was closed when I was there (January - I didn't care!) - but it looked fun.

Also, this might be the only time we get to try CBR before construction and price increases.

This is what I was thinking. IDK if you will get in ahead of the construction, but if you do, it might be the last chance to experience it as it is now. Be aware, not everyone loves CBR, so it is more questionable to recommend. I can say that it is a beautiful resort and that I had the chance to stay there once again before construction starts that I would do so. POFQ is unlikely (I hope) to be changed as quickly so you can book a future trip there.

So, short story, I would switch to CBR and save the $$$>

I would go with whichever one is cheaper. I've stayed at POR, CSR and CBR and all have their good points and bad points. Of the three, CSR is my least favorite and I can't really say why, it just was. Having said that, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, as a matter of fact I am in two weeks. I don't think any of them are too spread out, but that might be because I actually enjoy walking. CBR is a beautiful resort, we were in the Jamaica section and found it pretty centrally located. We were there during spring break last year and while there were people there, it didn't feel crowded at all. The main pool was pretty busy and we would have totally avoided it in favor or the quiet pools but my son needed the hot tub (back issues). My only complaint would be that the only hot tub option was at the main pool, but that is the same at all the moderates. Being at the main pool means there were kids jumping in and out of it like it was a pool, which was not very relaxing.

I agree! CBR is the only mod we've stayed at and we've only had 1 stay there, but we loved everything about it. I would give it a try.

I would stay at POFQ, it is my favorite of the mods. When you talk Easter break you are talking crowds. You will already be fighting them in the parks, you don't want to fight them for breakfast or dinner, or pool time, or my worse of all buses. That is me opinion. I just love the lay back, relax feel of POFQ. I always wake up real early, I wold get my coffee, take a walk along the river, and then just sit and listen to the water in peace early morning. When the little cafe opened, I would get beignets and coffee and go wake everyone up. It was the highlight of my trip. The pool was never crowded and you can use POR big and quiet pools. You have the boat to DS. And the hot tub was away from pool and very quiet, never full of just kids. We did not go Easter week, but we did go first week of spring break a few years ago, so 7 and 8 instead of 9 and 10, and I really enjoyed being able to have relaxation and quiet back at the resort, worth the few extra pennies.

Thanks, so many good points you made.

Between the options I would actually make my decision based on the bed I could get. I always think the beds at WDW somehow magically shrink while we are there so if we can get a King bed I am thrilled!! If you have an option to actually RESERVE a King room instead of just request that's what I would do. Personally I don't think even the big moderates feel that bad - we love CSR and stay there all the time. At certain times of the day (morning, meal times) the common areas of the resort can feel crowded but I think that's the case at ANY of the resorts - even the most expensive deluxe resorts.
