From all of the posts I have read, it seems as though the food at the Nick Hotel is bordeline uneditable. Since we will have a car with us when we will be staying at the Nick Hotel in December, I'd like to have an alternative food choice. Does anyone know of a place within a short drive of the Nick Hotel where we could go get breakfast?? Dinner??? I recall reading about a very good buffet nearby in a post a month or so ago, but I forgot the name of the place.

Thanks.

we just got back and i dont think the food was bad at all... the food court has pizza hut and a buger and sandwich place alonmg with a coffee place and the main restaurant had some great buffets... we had italian night and prime rib night... amybe people are talking about the lunch buffet at the other restaurant where they also have a buffet breakfast (not character)... we are from ny and believe me if the food was terible i would be the first to complain.... the character breakfast was expensive but the nightly buffets were downrigh t cheap for what they offered!!!!!... there are plenty of restaurants around but we found we didnt need to leave the hotel for much of anything... we only stayed 3 nights ... we came from POR and i thought the food court at the nick hotel was so much better and more reasonably priced

out on IB (turn right) - then at the second traffic light turn left (first one is Marriott World Center) - now you are on 535 and there are a bunch of restuarants - denny's is pretty good and not far down this road.

Also near the Denny's on 535 is an IHOP, Waffle House, and Perkins. Non-breakfast options in the area include just about every major fast food chain, Chilis, Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, and a few others

We just went to Downtown Disney one night for dinner. We did the character breakfast and buffet dinner at the Nick (bad), food court wasn't bad for lunch and then we went to RainForrest Cafe in DTD. Definitely worth going away from the hotel for dinner.
