Hello! I haven't been on these boards much lately so I hope all of you are doing great in your planning!

Right now I am down to the wire on making my final BEO decisions before I pay (next week). I'm thinking of eliminating my chair covers because we will have 100 chairs and at $8.50 a chair with tax that's $905.25 just for chair covers!:scared1: I don't even think my guests will even notice.

Does anyone know how much the overlays cost per table? Is there anything else I could do to the tables to add a touch of color but isn't overly expensive?

Overlays can run any where from $25-45 depending on material.

I think a great way to add a pop of color without big bucks is a table runner either one throught the center or 2 in a cross or x design with the centerpiece in the center. It looks lovely.

Our chair covers are priced at $8.50 with the organza bows. The pink organza overlays (90x90) are priced at $20 each.

For the runners on our tables we had them use the chair bow ribbons (laid out instead of tied) they were a little thinner, but the cost was a lot less. I don't remember off hand. I can check my BEO tonight if you want.

If you do the $5/each wooden chairs instead, even with the $200ish delivery fee, it would save you $200. But maybe wooden chairs at an inside reception would look just as bad as naked chairs.... :sad2:

Hey Jennifer! How are things going! I'm getting ready to make my final payment next week too

I know what you're going through with the chair covers. They are not cheap. Have you asked Meri if she can give you any other less expensive options? I really like the chair covers, but whe you have 100+ guests, it definitely gets a little out of hand. Sorry I'm not much help here, but wanted to wish you good luck on getting at beo down! Let me know how it turns out!

Yep that is a great idea!

You know what - I think they used chair sashes for our cake table.

They were $4 each.

However, they were either too short or positioned wrong, so they didn't reach the floor and looked kinda dorky.... but I'm sure it just depends on the table size.

Hmmm that is a great color Carrie...but good point. Check the size. Carrie-It seems like they doubled yours for some reason?? I have seen it done before and it covered the table so just double check.
