Now, I LOVE Bazzill, but I hate what it does to my blades (especially the Bling, which i love best:sad1: ). I've tried foil, sandpaper and files on the blades but nothing seems to work. I bought a pak of two replacement blades a couple of months ago and already they are completely shot - on't even cut paper without shredding it:headache: Now, i can order more blades but at £8.40 a time (plus the £7 postage) that is a real pain, and really not economically viable.

Can anyone suggest anything which comes in lots of colours but it less destructive to cutting edges? My original blades were fine for over a year, until I was seduced to Bazzill by the swappers:rolleyes1 - I've now wrecked 6 blades!

Any suggestions (and stockists) welcome!

That's amazing Mazda that it would dull your blades that quickly! I have a Fiscars trimmer that I've had for a couple of months and use bazzill all the time and have no problem with it cutting (and blades are cheap for it, $4.75 or so for 2 blades)

I like the cardstock by Colormates. It comes in both 8.5x11 and 12x12. Its not textured like the Bazill. I like to use this when I create my Mickey and Friends because it isn't textured and I think it works better.

Thanks. Its a CM cutter, and like I say was working fine (maybe I should swap less :rolleyes1 ) I wonder if the bling should be cut on the reverse side - maybe its whatever makes it sparkly that is the problem:confused3

I'll check out that cardstock :goodvibes

I have a Provo Craft Zizion blades are 2 for $3.99. I like it for a small trimmer. I also have the Making Memories trimmer, it retails for $50 but I think it well worth the money, and it has a self sharpening blade

I really liked the papers and the colors. Any idea where you can get it?

Is the MM a 12" one? I like the idea of a self-sharpening blade :goodvibes as it would pay for itself eventually

it is. it's 12" long and folds out to be 12" wide, it sits folded at 6.5" wide. If you're in the states and can get a Michael's coupon, you can get it cheaper. I got mine in December and only use Bazzill and it still cuts like the first day I got it.

Here is a Picture of it

I usually get my Colormates cardstock from the one LSS that I go to. Sometimes Hobby Lobby has some of it.

Sadly a LONG way from the US, but perhaps if Hobbycraft has a sale once I'm back from vacation I might get one

Worldwin carries beautiful paper...very close to the quality of Bazzill. Did you see the doublemate paper? It has a darker color on one side and a coordinating lighter color on the other. And like Bazzill, their paper does not have a white core.
