Alternate way to carry pins vs. neck lanyard

We brought our children on our first trip a starter set which included a lanyard and 4 pins, (2 doubles) You can then trade them. Also my son got a cowboy hat from Animal kingdom and on it had 8 pins and a few he disn't really like so traded them. If you go to Magic kingdom they have a great pin trading shop.
